Title: Jay Cutler will have surgery to repair torn left bicep February 24
Post by: 240 is Back on February 06, 2012, 07:34:55 PM
Source: MD.

Will this mean Jay skips the Olympia and comes back for Arnold 2013?  (That's been my prediction all along, but recently Jay said he'll do the O this year).

How long is the recovery from a torn biceps surgery?

Saw him at the La fitness expo and he had a seminar and he said Dr told him recovery time is 4 to 6 weeks for that kind of surgery , he said that means 2 weeks top for him and would be back in the gym

he said in md that he wouldn't have surgery bc it would screw up all his guest posing appearances he has booked for the year.

If a tear is apparently shitty looking, you should get disqualified. I dont care if youre a "name" or even Mr O. I mean, if a beauty queen walked in to a airplane propeller and lost her looks, should she still win?

That is my very strong belief as well.   But he says he's doing the Olympia and the recovery is a quick one.

If he does the Olympia and comes in good shape - and Phil is 1% weaker than last year - Jay would probably win it.

If he is planning to do the Olympia, why wait 5 months after the injury to get it fixed?  Seems like he is using this as an exit strategy right before the show.

He looks better than he has in a long time. I'm not sure if anyone on Earth knows their body as well as Jay does. He seems to be able to manipulate the drugs (yes it's harder than just inject everything you have) better than anyone. Looks awesome recently.

Also he's been training the torn bicep so it's probably mostly cosmetic, the surgury. He said it never really hurt to begin with.

There is no reason Why he shouldn't compete in the Mr Olympia , it's not like he dropped below 8th or so, he places 2nd.

And draining synthol from his arm isn't that serious of an operation

he is still top threat,,,needs to bring slightly smaller but back to 09 condition then it will be interesting.

Depends if it's a partial or a complete rupture.  If it's a complete rupture his arm won't be working right for 4 plus months if ever.  Partials recover quick because the tendon isn't completely pulled off the bone.
