Shawn Rhoden is one tough bodybuilder - an extraction with no meds. Damn
"Just got back from my dentist form an emergency extraction. One of the hardest decision I had to made. After having a bad toothache I tried to ride it out and bare the pain. After training today had to go home and take a nap. Call my dentist at 845 to see if she could see me, rush into her office. After a quick X-ray was told I needed a root canal or extraction but needed to get on some antibiotics. Spoke with my trainer Dave said show is too close no antibiotics and no meds, just go cave man and take it out…. Needless to say after screaming like a girl am home with an ice pack .. suffer now champion forever. THE SHOW MUST GO ON. CARDIO AT 530AM"

wow now that is impressive. Truly dedicated to his craft, I'm impressed. I could never do that personally. I'm scared to even go in for a cleaning

i had 4 wisdom teeth extracted when i was 18. I was on the 'free cause youre broke and live in a trailer park' medical care plan back then.. so they made me stay awake for the surgery. i'm sure they injected some local anestnetic, and they ended up doing an unplanned root canal cause they knicked sometthing. worst pain of my life.
i'm sure i was angry enough to unleash some mel gibson threats upon the dentist.

Was he 1 day out? An anesthetic is out of your system fast. He seems to more cave man in his mental abilities than in this glorious deed.

On a scale of 1 -10 for stupidity not taking antibiotics after a root canal is a solid 9. Considering the incredible amount of bacteria that lives in our mouths I will be shocked if this guy does not geta ridiculous infection.

considering how many painkillers pros run on a daily basis just to get through their lifting sessions, i'm really surprised he turned down the anesthesia
antibiotics make sense but the painkillers, that's a puzzler.
