Was there anyone else that did it longer?
Bill Grant I think started competing in 1966 up through 1994, which is 28 years unless he actually started before then.
Jocelyn Pelletier has been around a while too.

Come on now-Jocelyn Pelletier does not count.
I don't recall Bill Grant competing after the late 70's. In fact he was in trouble for a certain period of time where he could not compete.
I am thinking about a few guys, but no one comes close to 30 years. When was the last time Ed Corney competed?

Bill Grants last competition was the 1994 Masters Olympia

Bill Grant worked for united airlines and I would see him sometimes when I worked at LAX. This was back around 1975 or so.

When was the last time Ed Corney competed?
from my records.....it was the 1998 Arnold Masters
-
Boyer Coe competed from 1965 to 1995......another 30 years of competition which ties Ed Corney.
Now it seems to be 30 years is the magic number.
Anyone can think of someone that did this game longer?

Kenny Hall has competed from 1957 through 2003. He has enjoyed a great 46 year run and may still be currently active as a competitive bodybuilder. Also, the great George Paine competed from 1949 through 1978. I could not find any magazine articles/record for George Paine beyond 1978. Finally, John Citrone has competed since at least 1964 through this year. Mr. Citrone has won the 2005 50 year old + NABBA European, 50+ NABBA World Championships, and placed 2nd in the 50+ NABBA Mr. Universe competitions. Outstanding 31 year competitive career.

I met him a few months ago. Still pretty big, and huge for a guy in his 70's. He had just had his shoulders replaced too, yet was still going ot the gym. Thats tough!

You can read all about Ed's 30+ year long competitive career on the his new official website that we've been putting together. Here is a photo from his own personal collection from his very first show (and first win) . . . the 1967 Mr. Fremont.
