rap is the one music style that anyone can do, even the person with the most pathetic voice and no musical skills can do rap.

it should not be classified as music really

real music is classical, hard rock, metal, jazz, etc.

Hard rock and metal is trash

That's your opinion, maybe you have not found the right band to your tastes.

I like only 2 metal bands, the rest i don't like much.

The point is that these musical styles require much more talent and skills than rap, pop, etc. You need to have very skilled guitarists, bassists, drummers and vocalists... On the other hand to make a rap or pop song you just need a singer (a shitty one would do) and often the instruments are not even real but digital.

naturally. they have money (i'm presuming) and can do whatever they want in life, risk free. so they try music, sounds fun. why not become a "rockstar" and get even more women and fame with no risk.

the only thing at fault here, is if anybody actually sends money their way buy purchasing that music! i hope that is not the case.

At it's best it's poetry. Lyrically able to stand up the to best songwriting of any other genre. Sadly nowadays this accounts for about 0.5% of all output.

Sadly all the best died or got old.

Hard rock and metal is trash.

Being objective, a large percentage of metal is performed by musicians of a VERY high level of technical proficiency. Like the form or not, and laugh at the atonal vox found in the extreme substyles, but instrumentally there is CRAZY shit going down in the genre. And always has been. In fact, in many ways, extreme metal is the new instrumental frontier; much like jazz has been in the past.

One of the reasons it will never catch on as being popular amongst the masses is BECAUSE of its tendencies to flaunt complexity and extreme technicality.

Bascially a bunch of spoiled Rich kids searching for street cred and meaning. Trying to fight a way out of their famous progenitor's shadows...
Instead of doing something constructive, they go get all tatted up, do drugs, be complete eff ups, and do "rap"...

Shit, their flow goes into the same trashcan as a B.Pumper.

I could understand them being political activists, or in Hillfiger's case trying to take his father's brand into a diff or new direction...or even getting into movie making, but noooooooooo
they want to be seen as "hard".

it begins with little timmy and little jimmy as best buds but little jeffrey soon joins the click, it is up to him to decide if he wishes to partake in this loving of culture or go his own way and be ostrasized by his peers. But little jeffrey must be smart enough to deal with the lonliness at a young age because its not easy then,

they dont even have the talent to play an instrument. They re "rapping". All of them have rarely seen their "busy" businessmen of fathers who were constantly traveling for movies and act all bad cause daddy didnt spend enough time with them and only gave them truckloads of money instead. Here is the result.

Meh the bulk of metal is masturbation.

Sure some of it is pretty complex, but if that's your goal prog is perfectly fine.

It's not the technicallity that turns people off, it's the grunted screaming and other pig sounds that it gets on with. It's a style of music where taste really isn't a concern.

I find this guy to be a bit of an oddity because Waylon was such an influential artist in the country music genre PLUS Waylon's son, Shooter Jennings has achieved a decent amount of success in country music as a singer/songwriter as well. Hell, Waylon Jennings was also a bassist in Buddy Holly's band for a short time so you could say he knew a little about early rock music also.

For there to be another Jennings who is putting out shitty rap songs after what those two guys have been able to accomplish is strange. You would think his grandfather and uncle would have persuaded him to not be such a douchebag all those years growing up.

I like Metal bands where the Vocalist actually sings instead of Growling like the Cookie Monster on Acid....All those guys sound the same...Guys like Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Geoff Tate, Ian Gillen, Jorn Lande are what I consider great Metal singers. Ozzy had his own style and was also good.
