MSG Network might be the next media entity to apologize for a regrettable reaction to the success of the New York Knicks’ Jeremy Lin.
After Lin led the Knicks to a 100-85 win over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, the network displayed a graphic featuring the point guard. Lin’s face was posted above a broken fortune cookie with the words “The Knicks Good Fortune” on a sheet of paper.

Lin, who is of Taiwanese and Chinese descent, has been the target of disparaging tweets about his heritage since his play thrust him into the public eye. Boxer Floyd Mayweather said Lin is receiving attention on the scale that he has because he is Asian. Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock posted a Tweet that perpetuated a stereotype about Asian men.
This, however, is the first time a television outlet has shown offensive material regarding Lin’s race.
Lin is averaging 24.4 points and 9.1 assists in the Knicks’ last seven games, all wins. His play has helped New York reach .500 on the season.

No biggie. Pretty sure he knows he's asian.

He is moving to White Plains in the Trump Building about 10-15 minutes from me.
Wonder if he is going to hit the bars over there.

I saw that too while watching the game on MSG network. Some of those jersey sluts look good, I said "some" which is very few. 8)

Several hours after the Knicks' Lin-spired winning streak was snapped by the New Orleans Hornets, ESPN ran the headline "Chink In The Armor" to accompany the game story on mobile devices. ESPN's choice of words was extremely insensitive and offensive considering Lin's Asian-American heritage. According to Brian Floyd at SB Nation, the headline appeared on the Scorecenter app. The offensive headline was quickly noticed, screen grabs, Twit pics and Instagrams were shared and it began circulating widely on Twitter.
