I find it really rather boring. Overrated imo.
-
Excellent movie
-
Problem was it was so slow after pulp fiction. All the different POV parts took forever. Good story though.

story was great. the directing is what hurt the film. STILL a great movie tho.

Dusk til dawn and true romance are films by richard rodriguez not quentin tarantino. Inglorious Bastards was an awful movie and to put both from dusk till dawn and inglorious bastards ahead of True Romance is atrocious

True Romance is Tony Scott. Tarantino wrote it, I think.

Great Quintin Tarantino flick right there.. . I love it, never really "got it" but I love it! I think I was way too young when I first watched it. ....probably time for a revisit!
-
As far as writing.... Tarantino wrote 'From Dusk Till Dawn' and also suggested a lot of directing ideas to RR because Tarantino was writer/actor and on the set all the time.
Natural Born Killers was written by Tarantino but was very disappointing to him because Olive Stone strayed so much from the script.
I believe the True Romance script was non-linear like Pulp Fiction and Reservoir dogs but director Tony Scott made the plot linear. Tarantino also had a down ending in the script but either TS or the studio made Christian's character alive at the end.
QT was not happy with the changes but grew to be more okay with them.
-
I've always thought Reservoir Dogs was his best. I think he tried too hard after that. I like elements of his later films but as a complete entity, his first is my favorite.
