How was it?
-
Yeah, saw it on a first date when it came out, didn't know anything about it. It is really graphic in a few scenes, definitely not date movie material. If your not seeing it with a woman though, its a damn good movie. Daniel Craig is good in it, it has a good plot with some psychological twists, and some hot action. Pretty good overall. i would pay money to see it again.

I saw the Swedish version and it was ok. But David Fincher is a genius, so I'm expecting more from this one.
-
How was it?
I saw it twice... It was awesome

I saw it twice... It was awesome
Cool. Did you see the original?
-
Well?
-
The swedish version was a fantastic movie.
While Finchers remake wasnt bad and I recommend it to anyone, it was missing alot of the chemistry that the 2 antagonist shared and I think that really hurt it. Also the pacing was a bit off when compared to the original Swedish film.
-
Really? I didn't really like the original. Thought it was just ok.
-
Pretty good. The books were better but both versions did a good job staying accurate.
-
I saw the original series, they were pretty good IMO....never saw the recent remake as more often than not the remake of a good movie sucks.
-
Cool. Did you see the original?
no
-
How was it?
Have not seen the English language remark; however the foreign language serial version was excellent.
-
it was extremely good...it was the first move in a long time where i felt creepiness similar to silence of the lambs. David Fincher does not make bad movies, Seven, Fight Club, social network
-
I saw the Swedish version as well. I enjoyed the movie, and yes, it's pretty graphic.
-
Saw the original, dont feel the need to see the remake as the Swedish version was amazing.
-

Now that's what I want to hear.
-
I saw it, I thought it was pretty good, I definitely recommend it. If you can see the Swedish version though, that would be my first choice
-
I saw them both and the Swedish version was definitely better.
-
I saw the remake and then read the book. Actually, the book is part of a trilogy and I've just started the 3rd book.
I started reading the books because I thought the movie was great -- It has a great, weird intro (to a remake of an old Zeppelin tune) and then is kinda slow until the very graphic rape scene. After that, you can't stop watching.
The actress (Mara Rooney, I think) was incredible as Lisbeth. I could see her winning an Oscar for that.

X 2 Swedish was better but the remake was still well good,... did you know theres a part 2 its called ( The Girl Who Played With Fire ), ive had it for months now but not seen it yet cuz its all in Swedish with english sub's :(.
anyway i just watched FSt-7 defined...thats pritty good lol go watch it.

If you really liked the books, you should look for the Dragon Trilogy on Amazon. The 3 part series was originally filmed as a 9 hour TV mini series and they edited a lot of stuff out when it was released in the theaters. The second two movies were much better in their original versions.
-
Haven't seen the US version yet. I thought the books and original movies were the most overrated thing since the fucking Da Vinci Code.
-
i saw the new one, its superb, and vicious !!!
I never saw the sweedish one, but i also hear it's great .
i understand, it's a 3 volume book set,so hopefully there is a sequel in the future .
2 thumbs up !!!
-
Read all three books, then watched all three swedish movies.
First book and movie are quality.
Second ones too.
Third set, not so much.
-
Rape scene was awesome there I said it ;D
-
Read it and saw the Swedish version. Don't care about the american shit.
-
Only the originals from Sweden with Noomi.
I have all three:
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl who played with Fire
The Girl who kicked the Hornet's nest
They are not complete, one without the other. I noticed she is in the new Sherlock Holmes movie.
Check her out on YT, she is NOTHING like the character she plays in Dragon Tattoo. That movie was insane.
I won't bother watching the *American* version.
-
Or watch 13 Assassins and actually watch a good gory, action packed film!

She is in that new Alien prequel too I think.
-
For the film snobs here: It's not an "American" version; it's a David Fincher version.
Big difference.
-
just watched the daniel craig one... it was actually pretty good, I will catch the original one eventually
-
How was it?
Excellent, soundtrack by Trent Reznor.
-
Hands down to the original...Naoomi rules.
Btw: soundtrack sucked Trent use the shit from the facebook film.
-
Watched it yesterday. Very very good. i hadn't been that impressed about a villain (there's 2 in the movie) in a long time!!
-
Saw the Fincher-version and liked it.
