bodybuilding height does matter.
anyone under 5 foot 9 inches should never be crowned Mr Olympia. I see nothing impressive about a muscled out stocky dwarf. Jay Cutler for example looks like a chubby schoolboy when I stood next to him in 2008. I am 6 foot 2 inches and I towered over him. He lies about his height by the way. He must be at 5'7 or so. With a shirt on he just looks fat. A real short sleeve you can see his big biceps, but he still looks fat!
Dorian "The GOAT" Yates is the perfect size. 5'10. Anywhere between 5'10 and 6'3 is an ideal bodybuilding height. Not to short, but not to tall. 6'2 is the perfect mark in my opinion as this was Arnold's height. He towered over the ladies and the men competing against him. Only Lou was taller but looked worse!

Sean Ray would have many sandows if he wasnt a Surf.

This is an enlightening post.
Since I only stand 5'6" I decided to leave California and stop trying to become Mr. O. Without this post, I would have been attempting to fulfill an impossible dream.

Mr. Nobody, are you saying that I still may be able to become Mr.O? :D
I agree with him as well, however, he is saying the same thing 10x over. Shit, lee priest, shawn ray, and a few others probably would have been Mr. O if they were taller.

That's what many think about the '81 Olympia. The first one he got in '76 most people feel was legit.

Most of the Mr. Os are at/under 5'9": Heath, Jackson, Scott, Columbu, Zane, Dickerson, Bannout, Cutler.

I'm only 6' and i've stood near or around all these guys even if for a brief moment. Theyre all very short. Other than Cutler who might be 5'8 the rest are all very miniscule in not just height, but also stature. Next to a Mike ohearn, Gunther, Tony Freeman, Ruhl, Fux, Im still baffled by how onstage, a comparison is made. All smoke and mirrors. Impressive, still.
