another trick is take a spark plug and smash it with a hammer and take the little shards of porcelin.  A little peice smaller than a pea thrown at a car window will smash it.  Some odd reaction between them.  It is a silent kill.  Used to do it as a kid.

The punch breaks it because the force is concentrated in a small area, also some of the center punch tips are carbide or industrial diamond coated, so it caves it right in. The spark plug works the same way, the ceramic used is about 2 x as hard as average tempered side window auto glass, small bit of force behind it...... and the window breaks.

It won't work on windshields, as it is laminated safety glass.

I remeber being wasted one night and walking through a parking lot and just smashing right through a bunch of car windows with are elbows. Stupid destructive shit 18 year olds do when they're drunk. Really stupid.
