A video of PRIDE legend and former UFC LHW champion, Shogun, beating the crap of some boy at a party when he was 16. I guess being a nerd at the high school these boys went to was probably not a very nice experience...

Gotta love the ol' windmill punches.

That would have been a great time to steal all the pizza slices! :D

Shogun Ruas!!!!
A real fighter fighting in a real fighting organization. Not these UFC trolls with their spandex shorts sticking up their assholes and their tapout t-shirts...
Fucking legend!

I remember when Mark Coleman threw Shogun around like a rag-doll; and broke his arm. Then Coleman got in Ninja's face..... Then stood on Vanderlie's head. As if Vanderlie could ever get a takedown on an Olympic Wrestler.
1996-97 Mark Kerr & Mark Coleman = the real deal. MMA added too many rules after that
-
I would like to see a rematch with Alistair Overeem.... :o
-
wow he really hurt that kids shin with his face

Shoguns the man. Love me some shogun.

Coleman was dipped in enormous quantities of sauce back then, and Shogun was a 21 year-old kid when they fought. You match them both in their primes without drugs and Shogun kills him. It wouldn't even be close. And Coleman was the master at getting submitted off his back. Lolololololool. As for Mark Kerr, he was on steroids, GH, insulin and all that shit and Igor knocked him the fuck out at a bodyweight 50 lbs lighter. Mark Kerr was vastly overrated.

Yeah, he was winning the fight, though. It's like the Fedor vs Hendo fight where Fedor was brutalizing Hendo until he got caught with an H-bomb to the chin and that was the end of the fight. It happens.

Please post evidence. The kid looks exactly like him. His brother, Murilo Ninja, is in the video as well. The famous "ChuteBoxe" coach, Pelé, is also in the video. Also, Shogun himself said he used to have Muay Thai matches at parties as a teenager. It is him.

Shogun Ruas!!!!
I believe youre thinking of Marco, its simply Rua ;D
Also there is no way in hell Igor was outweighed by anything near 50lbs against Kerr, 25 i can believe. Igor was a rare kind of fighter, in the same mould as Fedor in that he packed on alot of weight to simply compete at HW and still destroyed his opponents. Will always be top 10 for me, one hell of a machine back in his prime with incredible punching power. His decline came after the 2nd fight with Kerr.

shogun @ 21 vs Coleman @ 42...... And coleman still crushed him.
-
Sucky
His name is Rua, NOT Ruas!
Unless you were thinking of Marco "King of the Street" Ruas.

are you kidding me?
coleman took him down and shogun fell on his arm
it was nothing more than a fluke accident, coleman even said that wasn't how he wanted to win but he'll take it, probably because he knew that was the only way he could win
i think shogun was more like 23

REmember when Jones beat the shit outta Rua? Like really badly?
That was cool shit.
Right suckmensmanoods?
-
Coleman made an apology to Shogun after the event and was lucky Wandy didnt tear his limbs off (man was he pissed!), Rampage and Baroni were there but they wouldnt have been able to help much

Right Mr.Suckmymuscle?
Cocktrain, Jones is a very bad matchup for Shogun. Shogun is a striker. A Muay Thai striker. Jones has a huge reach advantage over Shogun and is more explosive(fast-twitch muscle fibers). What can Shogun do against him? Nothing. Jones beats Shogun 10 out of 10 times.
This doesen't mean Shogun sucks, though. He is the greatest LHW ever, who beat little Nog, Rampage and Liddel when all of them were in their primes, Overeem, Machida when Machida was unstoppable, etc. His brutal KO power, crippling leg kicks and devastating ground-and-pound make him a bad matchup for everyone except for guys like Jones who are physically far suprior to him.

He may beat the modern Shogun 10 / 10 but pre injuries im certain Shogun would have been a match for him regardless of the physical disadvantages. He's not as aggressive as he once was (no steroid accusations please) and is a hit or miss in regards to performance now but pre 2007 (or atleast his dismal UFC debut) he was unstoppable at 205. The calibre of men he was walking through was astonishing. That version of Rampage would have thrown Rashad Evans from pillar to post and destroyed Ryan Bader inside 2 rounds, Little Nog back then was still a sight to behold & Ricardo Arona was an absolute beast.

Shogun, the greatest LHW ever. The man who destroyed Rampage, Liddel and little Nog when they were all in their primes, and beat Machida when Machida was on a 13 fight winning streak.
Incredibly badass...

Bump for the greatest LHW ever!

Shogun believes he can beat Jones in a rematch. I actually disagree with him for reasons I already explained. Jones is the atropine to Shogun's sarin. He is the antidote to Shogun. Jones is custom-made to beat Shogun, and he will beat Shogun 10 out of 10 times.

I spot one female at in that whole scene. Epic gayness? Or typical latino behavior? Whats the point?

Jones and Shogun comparison. This is what is supposed to be a "fair" fight in the UFC these days. LMAO!!!!!!!!!

You say Rua was the best LHW ever. And then you post that Jones/Rua "unfair" pic.
Here is the best HW ever, with a much larger opponent. Much, much larger size difference than Jones/Rua mind you. We all know how this one went.
I think you should STFU now and quit crying. Also, always remember three words: COLTRANE OWNS YOU.
