Title: Sleep
Post by: liberty on March 07, 2012, 08:19:27 AM
Anyone else have trouble sleeping nights after a workout?
Normally I sleep well....
Days where I train, even thoughI'm physically exhausted,I sleep like shit.
Back in the day when I was gonna be the best in the world  ::) and I was a personal trainer I had this old lady client
who told me she ran a fever after exercise. At the time I wondered to myself 'why are you taking your temp after exercise'
Maybe thats it in retrospect.

I have severe insomnia, I need heavy medication just to go to sleep.
I remember heavy deadlifts or squats would make it even worse. Something
about activating the CNS, keeps you in fight or flight mode after your strain
yourself so badly.

I have trouble sleeping if I work out too late in the day or if I use the computer to chat with my platonic getbig bros too close to bedtime.

For years I always worked out after work at around 6pm and had this problem. Recently a nysc just opened 2 minutes away from my house and I been going at 5:30 am and love it... I feel great all day and at 10pm on the dot im out like a light...

Same here I train late. I fall asleep quick but I tend to toss and turn.
