I get so fucking pissed off about this video.... WTF?!!?
The cop was nothing but nice respectful and professional, all these white middle class wannabe moral crusaders are doing is wasting the tax money of good lawabiding citizens in the US, I mean this is the pinacle of stupid arguments.
SIGN THE FUCKING THING AND LETS GET ON WITH IT.
I cannot express how much these people piss me off - and its always these middle class white pussy boys who want to fuck with the law.
I got plenty of times arrested never made a fuss never spit or argued with the cops and mind you the German cops are not to be fucked with, plenty of times I got arrested for something I didn't do but was accused of doing, I could have made a fuss I could have fucked with them, but why would you? You get arrested its being cleared in the station you go home its that simple.

Haha I love seeing the cops get fucked with.
-
what a piece of shit, the cop should have beated the crap out of him. i love seeing him starting shit with less civilized cops in another country.
-
that copper was a useless moron.

Happens all the time---many of these kids think that they are above the law...the law doesn't pertain to them. They don't have to comply with anything. And don't let them get drunk...that is when the true feelings come out.
-
That cop was a fucken idiot. He didn't know what the hell he was talking about.
-
When the fucking prepotent asshole cops dont know the law, and you do, as in my case, its your legal right to defend yourself of abuses of the legislated force.
FUCK THEM.
-
seems like eveyone forgets the police work for us, to serve and protect.he was exercising his rights as an american.

In many states, like Maryland you can get a ticket for not having or providing registration upon demand...also, you can get a ticket for not signing.
Dude is saying that the car "is registered", then you need to have your registration. That little snotty laugh, is that dude thinks this shit is funny, also, depending on what state, a seatbelt ticket carries points. Oddly
looks to be a Volvo station wagon.

I didnt watch the video, just wanted to post something that I feel peope should be more aware of. People are scared of the cops, it should be the other way around.

You need to understand the reason behind it and its a psychological reason, let me explain.
You are being pulled over, you know you no outstanding warrents, you have paid all your parking tickets, your car is in excellent nick, but when you see the flashing lights and stop on the side of the road your heart is beating.
Why...
The reason is because you are dealing now with a lady and or a gentlemen that has the power to arrest you put you in jail or what ever, its a feeling that you have been caught but you haven't done anything, you are still blushing.
Its interesting that most people when they talk to cops and or police they immediately call them Sir, me included, I called a Garda who was directing traffic Sir while i asked for directions lol he looked at me like I am special.
But thats what it is the aspect that your life can change and that somebody has the power todo so even if you know that the chances of it happening are remotely small still makes you nervous.
And that is precisely why (and I have friends who are or have been in law enforcement) cops are trained to be kind and forgiving and be mindful that their uniform the gun and the shield makes normal citizens nervous.
So all this has nothing todo with thousands of good cops who want todo a good job and for most parts do a thankless and brutal job day in day out and sacrifice their youth and sometimes more often their life.

What's the "law". No meaning.

Thats not how reality works here in South America and I do acknowledge that it works better in Europe and the US, still, cops are too empowered these days because the system has allowed them to think so.
I dont hate the institution called "legislated force", I know and understand the reasons and needs for them, I do find untolerable what it has become.

Tell yourself that until a cop tazers the shit out of your nipples and breaks your bones in a gangbang of abuse of power over citizens,
The law has real implications, one of them being asshole cops and jail.
Also, you are not cooler for being such a "rebel" (unless you are like 14).

stupid police academies, stupid cops, if this guy was black, this same cop would have cracked him over the face with this flashlight, but because he was white he let himself get owned..... Thats what he gets for his fear of the white man
-
I get nervous as hell when I get pulled over. Last thing I would personally do would be fucking with these guys.
-
Here's what this idiot doesn't get. The police do not have to tell you your rights unless they arrest you. It is up to the person in the vehicle to understand their rights and the laws that govern those rights. The policeman was correct in say you don't have to sign and he doesn't have to explain why. It is expected that you know, ignorance is not a defense.
-
The cop is a mechanism of the big brother "system"...This kid just might be working undercover to test the system. Even if he doesn't know it ;) He got his info somewhere on how to handle a cop. This video will be briefed by many police forces and a question and answer meeting will come from it.
-
People are scared of them!
Lot of hate comes from one being terrified of something.
-

Cops are the enforcers of the law, the pit bulls of legislation if you will.
So, there is always a certain level of fear with "authority". As a child should have a certain level of fear with their parents.
Society would be upside down if "authority" had more fear of the ones they enforce...imagine a cop, with a gun, and "authority" fearing that kid...that kid would have even less respect for him.

To you folks saying that the officer is a moron: I hate to tell you this, but you couldn't be more wrong.
That officer maintained his composure the entire time, he never asked the individual to exit the vehicle, and he told the individual exactly the truth: that he did not have to sign. However, not signing is a misdemeanor which apparently can get you arrested.
I do not live in FL, nor do I claim to be an expert in FL law. In PA and NJ, you do not have to sign for your traffic summons, they are just handed to you with a court date printed on the ticket. What will get you arrested is pulling away while the officer is in their vehicle, as that is eluding.

Recently cops have been stopping my car searching it etc stopping me approaching me in car parks etc asking what i am doing. Maybe 10 times in a period of 8 months
I think this is due to the security situation to an extent but also the area where I live etc
You are entitled to get a record of all stops (except traffic stops) as I was stopped under Justice and Security legislation for the search of guns and munitions a few times.
I was told on one occassion that it is a digital printout you get in the station now and they do not provide paper copies.
I went to police station. No record of me EVER being stopped by police.
Since then I ALWAYS ask for a record, make a note, keep teh record and take all other details I think are relevant.
Not all cops are assholes but I think in time with the best of intentions that you can and do sometimes abuse power.
I also learned teh law with regards to these stops and it does ruffle their feathers but makes sure that they do not mess me about.
