I know there are a ton of exercises that can be done using dumbells only....but could one get a decent workout and physique with only dumbells?
Thoughts on this?

Substitute every barbell exercise with dumbbells and DO NOT forget to do cross-bench dumbbell PULLOVERS for serratus and you have it covered!!!

Thanks gentlemen. Much appreciated. I think I just wanted a little bit of reassurance. I'm moving into a place that has a "workout area"....lots of cardio machines, tons of dumbells and one other basic apparatus where you can do tri pulldowns, etc. It'd be nice to save the money on a gym membership...I only use weights....not cardio machines anyway.
It's also really convenient having a workout facility in the building......just take the elevator downstairs and voila! Sometimes it's so hard to get motivated to drive to the gym....having it in the building is a total bonus.

yes u can ,,dumbel is very good

offcourse, some people can even get a good physique only by looking at weights.
dont buy into the alternate between loose weights and machine bullshit. it all comes down to genetics.
