He actually shoots the bird, asking "Can I CUSS?" Then, he uses the real chorus to his song, before switching back to the radio-friendly lyrics, "Forget You".
And, this is for the guy, lecturing us about civility, after taking $1 million (via a PAC) from Bill Maher.
You can't script this stuff. Boy, are Limbaugh and Hannity going to RIP OBAMA APART on this one.

At least he asked? Lol.
They should have told him album version or radio version prior to the show, but really this doesnt bother me... he's an entertainer and everyone knows the lyrics to that song, is this really that big of a deal?
(This coming from a staunch Obama hater)

oh my,did he swear :D your not on waltons mountain any more ;D

Of course, irony and hypocrisy are lost on people like Blacken.

It wouldn't be, except for the fact that it's a fundraiser for the guy who wagged his finger at the American people about civility and discourse.
Suffice it to say, that having Green sing "F*&K YOU!" at his fundraiser doesn't quite fit the bill as far civil discourse goes. Granted, this is most likely a simple case of Green, going into business for himself and being stupid.
But, when you and your party having been calling for a certain talk show host's head, for his lack of civility and use of language (while you've taken money from Bill Maher), you need this stunt by Green as much as you need the bubonic plague.

Yeah, I see your point, but we all know hypocrisy is the name of the game for all our politicians now days, gone are the days of presidents with integrity and class, now we have politicians who talk our both sides of their mouths in order to try and grab as many votes as possible.
Kinda makes me respect the older presidents a helluva lot more, they ran on their core beliefs, who they were as a person, and we picked them for that.
Now days there is no core belief, each candidate has a different set of values for each demographic, and whoever can lie successful to the most different groups wins, and we never actually get to find out what the candidate really stands for until he's in office.
Obama is the ultimate example, he ran on everyones hopes, hopes for a different type of president, of a president that would be transparent, that would end corruption, end backroom deals, end the insider washington attitude, that would bring change, and he turned out to be just another shill for his cronies. The actual president we got is pretty much the polar opposite of the image he tried to sell to the public.
All just MHO of course.
So yeah, doesnt suprise me that he lectures everyone on something and then does the exact opposite, its par for the course.

a rapper swearing, show me one that doesn't,now that would surprise me :D.just the right with more of their fake outrage :o
-
I dont really care about his swearing, but they do go after their opponents for saying one thing and doing another, and then lecture people on behavior only to do this.
The hypocrisy of the situation is strong. But they all do it.

didn't bother watching but it can't be any lamer than this guy

Has nothing to do with each other.
Cee Lo was performing at an Obama fundraiser and he sang the song "fuck you" unedited and flip the camera the bird.

fair point regarding the fundraiser
"performers" do all kinds of stupid shit
do you think Obama has time to preview every opening act and sanitize it for the masses?
btw - Nugents rant was pretty awful yet the people at Faux News never had a problem with it while at the same time whining about Bill Maher and other "entertainers" who do similar shit
-
nugent went over the top there but most if the time he tells it like it is,he don't beet around the bush, you know where he stands

Obama has staffers to do that (who probably should get canned after this one).
The point, which you apparently don't get, is simple: If you're lecturing the country about civility and tone within discourse (all the while, dodging question about why you just took a million smackers from one of the most foul-mouthed misogynistic comics in the business), the LAST PERSON YOU HIRE to sing at your fundraiser is a guy, with a hit song, called "F*@K YOU!!".

I actually have no problem with or anyone saying vile shit
people can choose to support and agree with it or protest it, challenge it, boycot, call out lies, etc..
both actions are fine with me

I never even heard of the guy before
I'm sure you're aware that they can't prescreen that shit 100%
I think the Obama people shit canned Margaret Cho after she went off the reservation at campaign events in 2008
stuff like this happens
If they keep him as the opening act and he keeps doing the same shit then you might have a point

agreed, just more fake outrage from the right

I think it would have been fine if you hadnt flipped the bird and sang the radio friendly version.
This really is more of an issue with the people that hired him not letting him know what to do.

or we can just blame the guy who did it for not knowing what is a appropriate at various venues
he is an adult after all

Cee-Lo Green has been around, since the 90s, as part of the hip-hop group, Goodie Mob. He went solo, I believe, in 2002.
I'm sure you're aware that they can't prescreen that shit 100%

When the guy's biggest hit song, to date, is entitled, "F&@K YOU", it's safe to say that someone MIGHT want to think twice about booking him for a presidential fundraiser. He would have been better off, performing "Closet Freak", than doing the other song.
agreed, just more fake outrage from the right
Wrong again, Blacken. This isn't outrage; it's more of a belly laugh, watching the poster children for civility and discourse have to twist themselves in knots with this one, as they've been doing with the Bill Maher situation.

maybe Obama should hire you to screen all the performers
btw - who was in the audience at this thing
did they give a shit one way or the other?

Doesnt matter - the Messiah can do no wrong whatsoever and the media will promote his false narratives at all costs.

thats the problem. Obama is doing such worse shit. but this kind of stupid shit is what gets his listeners all riled up.

Rush has been pointing out ObamaCare debacle and the debt ceiling debacle, as well as Obama's struggling fundraising and the war-on-women spiel falling flat. This is just another tack-on foul. Mr. Civility and Mr. Discourse, having Green performing that song at his fundraiser.
Besides, Rush only spend 5 minutes, at best on this one.
