Title: ANABOLIC DIET
Post by: nosleep on March 20, 2012, 11:28:14 AM
I KNOW ULTIMATELY IT'S PROTEIN AND CALORIES, BUT YOU THINK I COULD PULL THIS OFF WHEN I BULK AGAIN?

6 DAYS OF MODERATELY HIGH PROTEIN, HIGH FAT. CALORIES WILL BE HIGH ENOUGH, NO WORRIES WITH THAT EVER.  >:(

THEN DAY 7 HIGH CARBS, MODERATE PROTEIN, VERY LOW FAT.

I'LL TRAIN 6 DAYS A WEEK, REST 1 DAY A WEEK.

LETS SAY I END THIS DIET AROUND 210LBS AND 5%.

I'D GO ABOUT 225G PROTEIN, 225G FAT 6 DAYS A WEEK. DAY 7 GO 180G PROTEIN, 400G CARBS, TRACE FATS.

Could be possible to pull that off? I have never tried a diet that radical, but I would think that you would likely gain to much fat while trying to bulk like this. If you are using healthy fat sources throughout the day this could be possible, but because you won't have any carbs to raise blood sugar you might not have enough energy for training sessions? try it out, tweak the diet if it needs to be tweaked, but I'm not sure why you wouldn't use a normal diet with high protein, high carb, moderate fat.  If it ain't broke, why fix it???

IT IS BROKE. HIGH CARB, HIGH PROTEIN, MODERATE FAT AND I GET SUPER WATERY AND PUFFY.

I'M NEVER BULKING WITH HIGH CARBS AGAIN UNLESS I HAVE ENOUGH GH IN MY SYSTEM, OR EVEN THEN IT'LL BE MODERATE.

WHY WOULD TOO MUCH FAT BE GAINED? PROVIDED CALORIES ARE IN CHECK.

I'M ON A NO CARB DIET FOR 5 DAYS AT A TIME RIGHT NOW, AND I HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH ENERGY. I CARB UP ON THE 5TH DAY MEAL AT NIGHT. I'M LIKING IT THIS WAY A LOT.

Im with you here nosleep,

There's no reason that you would gain much fat with that diet, unless a caloric surplus meant that not all the high fat in the diet was used for energy. I also dislike bulking with high carbs/high protein/low fat & prefer high protein, moderate fat, lowish carbs (150 grams a day in a 2500 kcal diet for bulking) so getting 1900 kcals from protein & fat.

I tried this diet several times (very strictly) in the early 90's, but I never felt right while on it.  I had insomnia, I had very little energy in the gym, I felt lethargic during the carb day and after it.  Good luck to you.

Don't forget this, or else you will not shit for days.

Really interesting idea. I'm doing 5 days no carbs, 5th night/6th day high carb and love it, feel a lot tighter and dryer and never like I'm losing much muscle. However that's a ton of fat, never used that much, I keep it moderate.

You decided if you're gonna try it?

I think you might need a bit more carbs if you're gonna be training 6 days a week. Personally, I would at least double the refeed carbs on the 7th day or leave it as planned but add a 400gram carb day mid week. I'd go with the second option cause for me its a pain having to eat so many carbs at once cause my system isn't used to them anymore and I spend all day farting and bloated carbing up.
