This is just untouchable:
-
Last one:
-
Just exggerate. Incrdible.
If he show up with the present standard condition like Brandon Curry,he would show up with unbelievable size.
Again this is just crazy.
-
Looks great there for guest posing.
-
potential to win it all. Such small nipples. I'm jealous.
-
This is just untouchable:
great esp considering off season, i saw nasser once he looked like a baby elephant.
-
Would make Ronnie look like a little bitch.
-
Ronnie was a better guesposer
-
18.5 in arms in those pics offseason, amazing
-
Looks massive and powerful, although lack of upper legs and arms is always a source of underwhelm-ment. Great calves and back though.
-

Hahaha, try at least 21s.
-
Are you saying it's untouchable in a bodybuilding way or in a BayGM Tier 1 can't afford way
-
great pics , amazing - not.
-
midsection way too thick and a standout point
-
Incredible for sure but that is not off season. It is guest posing weeks out from a show.
-
Calves way too big. He should have 16.5" inch calves and thighs should be 7" bigger to further humiliate the 16.5 calves that he should have. ;D
-
Dorian's great, but he's #2. IMO, the OP should have waited a while to make his post -- after the memories of the Ronnie's freakiest pics thread had faded a little bit.
-
Yates didn't inject crap into his calves to make himself competitive. Calves matter. Why ignore or be blinded by bbs who inject 'filt' into their calves in order to stand up to bbs who have better calves?
-
I thought I had found a rare, unreal shot of Yates
and looked hard to find the magazine. I finally found it,
scanned it in grayscale and color only to realize it had been
released by flex online at some point.
The pic in the scan looks better though so here are the variations.
Pre 1995 Olympia - Quads looked great but he seemed to lose
some of his sweep come contest time that year to get ultra lean.
Enjoy..
-
Not that rare, but I remembered when it first came out...the Dorian Nuthuggers were hailing it as the greatest BB pic ever.
-
I saw Doz guest pose at the Emerald Cup in Seattle in 1992. He was 300 pounds, f-ing enormous.
-
he had long legs it gave good offset from his sick calves,,very underated leg wise,,,
-
great shots.. looks like 1994!!..
-

Dorian had great quads, especially the lower quads, like milos
Lots of guys have huge upper thighs and lack of lower outer sweep and teardrop development, just huge shapeless mass
IMO, yates' legs had better shape than any mr O, and nasser

Yates had better leg shape than Nasser? Put the crack pipe down. His legs were rarely sliced and separated like the rest of him and their shape was just ehhh. Nasser's legs were miles better

overdeveloped blobs of shit with separation, top heavy
IMO

Idk Doz def smoked him on calves and hamstrings. Nasser just had better separation to his upper thighs.

nasser had phenomenal detail, ronnie had maybe biggest ever, jay has the most striated left quad in history, kai has unbelievable mass & cuts
My point is , IN MY OPINION (don't wana say taste, cause bay might read this), the proportion of the lower to upper quads is more appealing than the top heavy big massive quads.
Nasser obviously had yates on sweep, detail, and from the side.
Overall legs, I give it to doz

dorian needed his upper legs to be a little bigger to go with his huge great calves.. still not to the extent to affect the balance between his upper and lower legs.. he also never had great hardness in his quads like nasser, ray, cormier.. just to mention some in his era.. IMO and as you said it's a matter of taste nasser lower body was over all better shaped and more balanced than dorian's..

You know dorians signature pose where he is flexing his right arm, slightly bent over and displaying the leg in the same manner nasser did in ab/thigh pose?
The detail in the sartorious and the balance in that pose, very few can do it. Nasser could too.
Out of the mr olympias balanced lower body, and the proportion to upper, I give it to yates

out of other mr. olympias may be it goes to yates (with samir in 2nd) but still nasser had overall better lower body than any mr. olympia 8)
ronnie had no calves and his quads looked kinda ugly..
jay had one quad clearly bigger than the other even before he injured the smaller one to make it more smaller..
-

and dickerson 3rd
Maybe the 3 x at least uncrowned champ had a better lower body from the side, and better sweep
This is the pose. Not a good angle/pic, but you get it

And Nassers legs were pretty? Looked like blobs of mass to me, Samir had better legs than Nasser.
Flex had real nice leg shape.

Flex had real nice leg shape.
the blobby thing is what I don't like, sure he had great deep definition, sweep, and from the side, massive and complete, but the overall "look" if that means anything, goes to dorian. A balanced, proportionate look
-
Sherief,
I'm surprised you haven't brought up mustafa!
;D

Dorian Yates - guest posing at the 1995 Mr japan

yes nasser shape wise were good..
flex had weak calves and we are talking about the whole lower body..

;D
mustafa's quads were thick and huge but i dont like their shape.. also they overpowered his calves (and the rest of him).. the one that must be mention now is dillett,.. at his best his "whole" lower body was one of the VERY best ever..
-

His calves weren't that weak, he just didn't have farmers calves. I think mid length insertion looks best with calves.

Dorian Yates - guest posing at the 1995 Mr japan
One of the best DY guest posing videos I have seen. But I don't think it's from 1995, it looks more like 1997 to me.

the biggest I've ever seen Dorian

Yes and that was 20 years ago! U was 12 years old and everything over 200 pound was wow! The world for young people is small! They are easy to impress!
-
I just don't see the hype around Yates, just another Branch Warren to me.
-
Again with this unotouchable thing...he looks great for offseason but that is it...

What bothers me about Yates is that is calves are in proportion to his thighs.
Calves should be an afterthought......underd eveloped sticks that merely seep out, under comically disproportionate buffoon-size upper legs.
For Yates to have calves that are so rare, and therefore unfair, constitutes a hate crime.
Coleman sticks, unnaturally injected with filt, even things out a bit....but even so, Yates' natural calves still give him an edge.
There is just something hatefully unfair about Yates' calf genetics.

Dorian had visible abs at 305 lbs offseason. He could have stepped onstage at 285-290 lbs and still have better conditioning than 99% of bodybuilders on their best day. It is obvious that in his attempt to come with insane condition, he lost a lot of muscle and came in flat. His conditioning was insane, but he always looked flat.

Yes, i have heard Dorian admitting this in years past.
-
theres a video of him in there from 92 guest pose emerald cup holy crap he looks fukin huge.

I saw Yates guest pose at a Bev Francis Atlantic states at TriBeCa performing arts back in the day. He still was awe inspiring.

No, stupid, I was 22. Try again.

was this it?
-
was this it?
might have been. I competed in a few shows but had a buddy who was more in to it. Yates was amazing. following year was lee priest.
I competed at a NPC show and Ronnie was Guest poser. He was ridiculous of course, but Yates still made TJE most lasting impression on me.
-
Magnificent. I have seen all these pictures before, but anything of Dorian "The GOAT" Yates just blows my mind. Massive and dominant with class.
superb! 8)

guest posing look was as mentioned at times better than stage ready look.he looked huge all over fuller.
-

Saw him at the North Atlantic (?) championships up in Boston one year when he was 305. The guy who won was 260 and looked like a bantamweight next to Yates.
Yates was like a cartoon - the smallest bodypart on him was his head. I've seen Yates live when he won the NoC, and the 96 Olympia, but nothing was as impressive as the guest posing.
-
93 Guest Posing in Birmingham, UK
-
Yates had an unfair genetic advantage as far as calves.
Good calves are SO rare among pro bbs, that it is unfair to even include them as a body part.
Thank god, that the importance of calves has been diminished in recent years.
Thank god, that there are enough amoral stooges that can look at Coleman's fake, ungodly, German oil injected, unnatural lower legs..... and due to measurement size, view them in the same category as Yates.
Obliviousness rules!!!
-
Calves are one of the freakiest muscles when developed. I'd include forearms as well.

I saw him around then as well, at the First Coast in Jacksonville, FL !!
He was well over 300 lbs .
