For me the issue is simple - can the govt compell a citizen to engage in commerce by mandating that they purchase a private product from a private corporation by force of law?

mcdonalds has been doing this for years.  their mcgriddles are so delicious that i feel forced to order one, most mornings.  so delicious it should be illegal.
