I was a purple belt when I was 16 years old ;D I should of stuck with it. I was very flexible could do splits and spinning crescent kicks all kinds of cool shit. Honestly it really helped me with other sports. It helped with my speed, the more flexible you're the faster you can run. It was a bullshit style though. We did all the corny katas all of the traditional BS. We did spar quite a bit though.

i have a few old bt left. get the ranger xt, same bullet just not black. glock 17 and glock 26 reside at my house. the 26 goes where i do. i live in a carry state.

Been practising Choy Li Fut kung fu since 1978 - fought in open full contact tournaments in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines in 1991/1992, been learning Tai Chi since 1988, have about 4 years of Southern Mantis mixed in along the way. I am very good friends with Patrick McCarthy who I have also done a little training with.
I don't know how to grapple, I am not the worlds best fighter, nor the toughest badass on the planet, I would have liked to have done MMA had it been around when i was younger. I know I can knock people out and I know which (few) techniques I can do it with with reasonable certainty. I know how it feels to be knocked out, choked out and spiked onto the floor. I practise because I enjoy it but don't teach anymore. I spend more time teaching Japanese taiko drumming these days.

I started taking Tae Kwan Do at 13 and earned my black belt at 19. I then earned my second Dan at 21 and my third Dan at 25. I also am a purple belt in BJJ under Carlson Gracie from the time I lived in Brazil. Getting a purple belt in grappling martial arts like BJJ or Judo is a lot harder than earning a black belt in "striking" martial arts like Tae Kwan Do or Karate. The exception to this is Kung Fu, which is ridiculously hard to learn and ineffective.

You're proving you're an idiot. When did Royce and his brother Rorian come to America and start the UFC? Royce won the first UFC in 1993. Hughes in 2001. Hughes was in high school or a freshman in college in 93. You should use google. Again Matt wouldn't know an arm bar from a triangle choke if it wasn't for the Gracies coming to America.
