are you opening a chop shop?  I knew a crew that would by salvaged Ferraris, Porsche's and other high end cars, then have someone steal the exact same one, swap the parts, fix the title , crate it, ship it overseas and sell it for a mint.

Pros and Cons?
You can, once you pass 907 inspection.. 907 inspection is basically fixing the car legitimately with receipts of  the parts that need to be replaced.. Pro's..fix a car for cheap,cons....harder to sell and get the right money for the car.. But if it's for personal use,it's a great thing..

Ha, I didn't see this thread untl today.
I don't know too much about salvaged cars, except to stay away. Too much shit, water damage, body damage, chassis damage, all that mess.
Now, if it is some type of project car, I can see.

Ferraris are not as high volume as Porsches, and stealing an exact one of the same model is hard to do, especially when there aren't too many of them. I believe Ferrari barely cleared 11k cars worldwide last yr, but I could be wrong, that number maybe 15k. And that's worldwide. So, salvaged Ferraris would be rare.
Porsche's could be different, but the deal with them is, German engineering, you are not going to get the same build quality from a chop-shop than a specialty Porsche shop or Porsche themselves.
