I think the most of those "vs" titles suck big time.
Most of the vs storylines are crap, and Marvel (or DC) are totally in-consequent when doing them.
Gets even worse when it's a Marvel vs DC. I hate those.

Like I said, I don't like the fights between two heroes, I prefer the "usual" fight good vs. bad.
Batman vs. Joker
Spidey vs. Venom
Spidey and Venom vs. Carnage was awesome
... stuff like that.
Ironman: Extremis was one of the best comics I have ever read, I also like the Batman comics a lot were he doesn't fight one of the villains.
Aliens vs. Predator is great though.

I would love to do a write up on Batman vs the Joker, but I don't have all the information on that match up. I'm betting they fought in over 500 plus issues. It would be HUGE!!!

I don't like this shit at all, they are from different worlds, Venom was designed to be a villain for Spider-Man, not Superman, or the Hulk or Donald Duck.
Somehow the only Superhero fight that I find mildly interesting is the Batman issues where he runs against Superman, because those two have such a different character. Batman Hush comes to mind.

I would say Batman vs Venom because Brock is a normal dude, but has a symbiote. He's like a type of Bane---except can spin/shoot webs, strength like a mofo. It would be good to see how Batman deals with that type of foe.

Thing would put up a decent offence for a very short period of time IMO but there is no way Hulk doesnt win this by landslide, he smashes him.
If were looking for dream match ups i would have to say, again, that Dr Manhatten vs Exodus is a destroyer of worlds..........

Not a joke. He is an Omega-Level Mutant with the ability of Cryokinesis.
He'd freeze all the Hulks blood in his veins to ice, causing him to Shatter from afar.
Up to 60 % of Hulks body is water that can be frozen as well, but it would be enough to freeze and shatter Hulks brain to stop him.
Molecular Moisture Inversion: Ability to freeze all of someone’s water molecules.
His powers extend down to the molecular level now these days since he has tapped more of his potential.
He's much more today than just a mere walking ice-block that he was in the 60's.

Whilst i appreciate that the character has managed to evolve i still dont think he would be able to take down Hulk in a battle. Hulk ALWAYS finds a way, his rage makes him seemingly invincible although it would entirely depend on which Hulk was fighting. If it was as clean cut as your argument i dare say Iceman would be THE great superhero as nobody would manage to get close to him to defeat him, he is the Tigra (T'cats) of Marvel - a strong, under appreciated back up but never the main man.
On a side note, one of my favourite cartoons as a kid was this..........

But the "Hero on hero" (or rivalry) slugfest was created by Marvel in the early 60's and it was a staple in their growth into the mainstream. And "Hulk vs Thing" was the beginnings of that and it has evolved to every one now comparing who could beat who from whatever comic company they are from.
