Don't fuck with that shit! You open "doors" that you can't effing close, and don't know what the hell comes thru Use the Ouija board once in HS, the main users all had something mysteriously happen to them the next day. One guy broke his ankle in a freak accident, another girl fell down the stairs, and another had some type of freak accident. All on the same day---right after using the Ouija board.

Another person who used and asked "anybody in the room", all the rocking chairs in that room and the adjacent room started rocking...not that slow shit, but real quick...

I knew two chicks in HS that used it, and when they asked (the standard "anybody in the room"), the door closed and the candles they were using blew out....they threw that thing in the garbage---at the dump.

As far as the "accidents", yeah, everybody that asked questions with that thing had accidents, the next day---freak ones...involvig going to the hospital.

It's not contact w/dead people, but contact w/demons, some of which can masquerade as deceased loved ones.

I think Ron has a Ouija Board story.

Yeah, I pretty much would not mess around with another one again.  Nothing bad happened, but some strange things did happen when we used it in college.  We pretty much left it after the semester ended.

haha, oh brotha.  ::) ::) Yeah, I could picture it now:

Spirit 1: So what do you want to do today?
Spirit 2: Just hang around. Not much to do.

::teenagers break out ouija board::

Spirit 1: Holy crap, those teenagers just broke out that square board made of cardboard.
Spirit 2: I think this means we should go spook them.
Spirit 1: Definitely.

 ::) ::)

I mean, seriously, if spirits did exist, do you think it would take a rectangular piece of cardboard to summon them?  ::) ::)

I have one and have used it several times.  No spirits get conjured, captain howdy is not real, you won't get demon possessed by allah.

it's entirely subconscious, you move it yourself.  if the users are blind folded or look straight up the results are unintelligible.

The ouija board wasnt the problem - it was the candle going out in a covered type of open vase with no wind or anything around it at the moment that we asked for a sign that someone is in the room.  Coincidence.... perhaps...

Well duh, a flame extinguishes due to a lack of oxygen or no wind around it as you say.

Amazing that its 2012 and people want to believe in such nonsense.  Humans are a rather stupid lot.

Why don`t you Ouija Board people go ahead and collect your 1.3 Million Dollar check from the James Randi Foundation who will gladly give you the money if you can demonstrate your Ouija Board.

Yep - that was it - why didnt I think of that!  Considering it was on for an hour or so before, and the only candle to go out out of nine of them and the only one on the table in the middle of the board.  Yep, lack of oxygen all right, in an open vase.  That explained it to the six of us there.    Like I said, coincidence... perhaps, but that coupled with a few others strange things while toying with the board - just got too strange.  Again, the board wasnt the issue - didnt really work, but the other strange happenings created uneasiness.

Its like going into a 'haunted' prison or hotel, even though knowing it may all be 'coincidence'.

No such thing as haunted or Ghosts.  I have a cemetery out back, many people have died in my house throughout its history.  I have cooling boards that double as doors and were used.  Cooling boards were used to strap the body to and prop up and put elsewhere for the time being until the ground would unfreeze for burial.  They also make a nice door.  If any place would be haunted, it would be this one.  Its not because there is no such thing as ghosts or haunted places.

The candle on the board would be the most likely one to have been extinguished given its location and given that there were six of you surrounding it in close proximity.

Why don`t you take the Randi Challenge and pick up that 1.3 million dollar check if you can demonstrate ANY of your abilities to them?  Would it not be the easiest money you`d ever make if you had any of these powers at all?

Or you won`t bother simply because you have absolutely no powers whatsoever and you know it as well as I do.

Wow Adonis, it seems as if you have every material possession needed for each thread created!

Someone randomly posts about liking pumpkins, and guess what...Adonis and his imaginary girlfriend made a pumpkin pie.....last night!!! Not just any pumpkin pie, but one that involves every imaginative expensive ingredient possible  ::)

Next day another random getbigger posts about burgers.......guess what! Adonis just made one using 3 DIFFERENT CUTS OF EXPENSIVE STEAK all blended together for the perfect homemade patty!

Today someone posts about the supernatural realm..........You guessed it folks! Good old Adonis had luckily bought a house with it's own graveyard, and 55 people know to have died inside...not forgetting the doors made out of 'Cooling boards' used to hold dead people until they are buried.

Gimme a fkn break.

When my brother and his friends were all going to college (about 15 years ago) they shared a large 3 bedroom condo.  They just got a Ouija board as a gift for one of their birthdays and so one Friday or Saturday night "it was on", they were going to play all night.  Crazy stuff was communicated, obscure Film stars etc... (none of them knew who they were until they GOOGLED their names!!!).  End result was one of the dudes (who is married with a child now!) was WOKEN UP by a young (like 5 years old) girl pulling on his blanket!!!  He also SWORE there was a swirling fog everywhere in the room- he kept yelling until everyone woke up...  TRUE STORY!

Lol fuck that shit man,

When I was younger I lived with my grandparents, once my grandfather passed away my gran had trouble sleeping as I was only 'man' in the house and was about 12. One night I hear her screaming, a real strange low fearful scream, so I jumped out of bed and rushed into the room and kid you not, she was pulling her bedsheet as hard as she could and when she saw me, she let go and the sheet flew down the end of the bed. She ran out of the room, and after half hour of smoking and drinking tea, she told me that she woke up to 'something' pulling her bed sheets off her, the harder she pulled them back the harder and more violent 'it' pulled. Lol, I was glad when we moved house.

Thats a fallacy if I have ever seen one.  The majority of topics I DO NOT post in, nor do I have any relevance to many of them.  I could easily make the argument that I don`t have much in common with the lot of you, but I do find ways to relate every now and then.

Furthermore, if you knew anything about American History or Custom in the 1800s in the South, you would know that burial on your own property was common place.  The custom is also from the Bible: "Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names." Psalm 49-11

The custom was carried out because families envisioned that the land would be theirs forever, generation after generation, with burial in the garden and never looking forward to the day if and when the property would change hands to a different family.

I have no direct experience with ouija boards - but I do suspect that psychologically damaged people probably shouldn't go near them.

An acquaintance of mine - a girl who was on the periphery of my group of friends at uni, went completely batshit berserk after a ouija experience. Her and some friends - including a couple of my friends - had a session. My friends said weird stuff happened - doors slamming and curtains moving - but they were also drinking and thought it could have been imagination as well. They left early on. This girl though - she wound up in a psych facility and has been there ever since as far as I know (this was 1992 - last I heard about her was 2007 and she was still there).

I didn't know her well so I have no way of knowing if she had some predisposing mental condition, but all talk of the supernatural aside, it's not the sort of shit you should be playing with if you don't know for certain that your psychologically robust.

You see the paradox here- You want to charge people for a service that you can`t even demonstrate.  Might as well go ahead and charge to see the Goblin Hordes at Yellowstone or the Zombies in Pensacola.  Those things must exist too because you can`t prove they don`t right?

You=Grade A moron.

Ghosts, ouiji boards, hauntings.

People.  Please.  This stuff isn't true.  When you die, it's lights out.  Period.  There are no ghosts that come back to haunt you, etc.

All things "spooky" that happen come from our minds.  Nothing more.  Sometimes it can't be explained... but this doesn't automatically mean supernatural beings or ghosts.

i snort my coke off it

its quite the conversation piece

Lol, I like your style.

That's a funny thing about coke and the way it changes your perception.... it takes all the 'spookiness' out of things. Years ago I bought a house that everyone said was haunted. Everyone that spent time there said they felt a presence there, and claimed to have seen or heard things. Many people said they saw people in the mirrors in the master bedroom, and that it felt like something was watching them from the high ceilings. It was a very large place, with a very elaborate staircase. It did have an eerie feeling to it, especially late at night when you were there by yourself. I admit that at times I would start thinking too much about what everyone had said about it, and I would scare myself a little and not want to go into the heavily mirrored bathroom.

The funny thing was that I never seemed to care much about ghosts or anything when I was there all coked out of my head at 3am by myself.
I have always wanted to stay in one of those haunted houses that people say no one could spend an entire night in. Just bring a bag of coke and within minutes you would forget that the place was supposed to be scary.

Hearing these folklore stories leading from a $20 Ouija is quite exhilarating, and quite disturbing at the same time. It makes one wonder if something more sinister is involved or if it is all simply a play of the subconscious mind.

How many of you were high at the time of play?  ??? Alcohol, narcotics, sedatives, stimulants, analgesics, etc?

Is this collective automatism or spirits at work?  ???

I think this really sums up a LARGE part of it:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideomotor_effect

The rest consists of self-fullfilling prophecies. When you believe things are a certain way, you act and live as though they are.
People who believe in ghosts will often attribute "unexplainable" phenmenon to spirits and hauntings, while folks who don't belive in ghosts will search for a more logical/rational explanation, or at least attribute the occurrances to something general, but realistic - like saying, "oh, it was just the wind, or the house settling," etc.

When my cousin was a toddler (before he knew what ghosts were) he once asked who the lady was that comes in his room at night.  We've caught photos of them to.  I would scan them but I don't have them.

The custom was carried out because families envisioned that the land would be theirs forever, generation after generation, with burial in the garden and never looking forward to the day if and when the property would change hands to a different family.

you do not post in the majority of posts, yet you have almost 30k posts. yip yip

Unless you have had some strange experiences, which I have had one, you tend not to believe anything. I do think that eventually, some things will be explained, but we dont have the technology, higher learning or science to understand certain things now, or why something so real might not be real at all.  But I for one, dont doubt some of these stories that we hear.  The question is - what exactly is it that they are seeing, hearing or thinking they are.  Science and expanded knowledge will one day answer that.  100 years ago - a lot of people didn't believe half the stop we are seeing or hearing now.

The board is gone - but hopefully, soon, I can undertake this question with the help of the spirits - or at least tinker with things with the guy helping run the server and figure it out as too why it blocks when we reach max connections at one time.
