You're a sick man ;D

And now he will retire. He needs to do what Suggs is going to do. Drop the test, and up the GH and deca. Back by November.
-
And now he will retire.
Doubtful.
I'm hoping he looks into stem cell therapy.

Heal up MO ! ! ! ! !
I cant believe he is done. He will come back.
-
this might be a good opportunity to work on that mug of his too

Why the hell was the best closer in baseball and HOF pitcher doing shagging fly balls in the first place?
Who's to blame? 1. The S&C coach 2. Girardi for having Rivera shag fly balls. Idiots.

he's been doin that for 20 years. fancies himself a center fielder, always wanted to play a game out there.
after an athlete's done it for 20 years, he'd probably get injured by skipping it.
-
Yeah, 240's right on this one, Coach. It was always part of his routine. It was just a fluke if you see the video.
He was always considered the best pure athlete on the team, although it didn't get much press. Torre said he could covert to an outfielder with little problem.

I wouldn't be so sure with him.

Ok, but man, putting the best closer in the history of the game in that situation is such a risk. I've never heard that about him. West Coast baseball here ;D

big blow, especially at his age

True, but it was also part of what makes him unique.
What's your team Coach? You have a lot to choose from out there.
-

Depends on the grade of the tear. But ACL and Miniscus? I'm looking at this from and S&C standpoint. Where's the joint stability?
-
looks like its the right knee, which he uses to pivot off of when he pitches, bad news for MO

1. Angels :(
2. Dodgers
We have CJ Wilson coming to our facility after this season. He's local here (Fountain Valley High Alum)

I don't know the extent of the miniscus, I just saw that the MRI revealed a "problem" that was previously unknown.
Do you know anything about stem cell injections. I read when ARod has his last surgery, it could have cut the recovery time to a ridiculously low period- like a couple weeks. I know he declined it, and I never bothered to read about it. Does it exist?

Sweet. Puljos will get better, don't worry.

Lots of major league pitchers shag flys in the outfield during batting practice.they use it as warm up for the game.Mariano has been doing it his whole career.he never goes crazy with diving catches or running into the wall.

i would want my Pitcher Shagging balls , good practice before the game in case of a pop up and pitcher needs to make the catch
-

Yes, it's the normal routine. Besides stretching, what else are pitchers supposed to be doing during BP other than lazily shag some flies? I thought Coach was knowledgeable about baseball? :-\

It's not common knowledge.

Would be nice to see him keep playing but the realty is that he's a 42 years old athlete who suffered a major injury.
I'm pulling for him. Guy is a legend for sure. The older I get, I find myself rooting for the older professional athletes.

Been to enough pre games to not see weaver, Santana or other starters or closers shagging fly balls in the out field the warning track 5ft from the wall, think about that for a second ::)

It's not common knowledge.
went to a ballgame the other night, got there a little early while the Texas Rangers were taking BP, and most of the Rangers' pitchers (other than that night's starter) were standing in the outfield shagging flies that were hit fairly close to them. this happens before every game for every team in the majors. what else are they gonna be doing during that time?

That's fine, but it's not common knowledge about how far Rivera took it. He once made three over the fence steals in a session. His routine was not the norm.
-
He needs to take a lesson from his buddy Derek and gear it up. Look at Jeter's stats so far this year...as of today, 404avg, 13RBI's, almost 500 OBP...compare that to his last two yrs and it's night and day.
For all those that don't understand, the Yankees are the only pro sports team that matters. This is truth.
-
I'm surprised his leg didn't fall off- old taco bender is older than Wes' pet dinosaur.
-
He's the coolest dude in Major League Baseball by far.
