So with summer time here and the tempratures here in Texas well exceeding 100 degrees at times, I have the same problem every year and thats being able to stay not just hydrated enough but also keeping enough electrolites to still get good workouts. Any advise.

How much extra weight are you carrying?

Find patio. See what's on tap. Order.

Spend one winter in Sweden and your problem is solved - you'll never complain about the heat again. :D

Im 6 ft 225lbs and about 15 % bf. ive seen some people mainly hispanics doing roofing work or highway construction use pedialite and wonder if theres something to it or if its no different than drinking gatarade (which im not a fan of because if im going to consume empty calories id rather it be on something enjoyable). The biggest problem is the cramps from excessive fluid loss that completely jacks up my training.

Gatorade.

Pedialyte is a good idea to drink in the crazy heat. It just gets expensive. You have to watch your electrolytes when you are drinking a lot of water. Make sure you include salt and potassium. Potatoes, oranges and bananas have potassium. Salt is easy if you don't have salt induced high blood pressure. They do have low cal gatorade but I don't know what's in that anymore. When I was younger you could actually taste the salt. I don't taste it anymore. See a doctor. I'm just a getbigger.

You sound like your vagina bleeds a lot, thus you get dehydrated.

Speaking of heat, does anyone here get the occasional heat rash on their thighs and chest? I get a lot of it especially on my thighs and it's kind of annoying. The only way to prevent/avoid it is to wear super-breezy shorts and shower a lot but that's not always possible.
Apparently heat rash is common among children(undeveloped skin?) and athletes(due to their higher % of lean muscle mass I would presume). Given that there are some beefy dudes posting here I'd be shocked if no one else suffers from it. I remember seeing a picture some time ago of this no-name 250lbs bodybuilder who had it aaaall over his legs.

yes you need rice to cool the liver. Its eastern medicinal knowledge if you dont beleive me look it up its call liver Qi
i used to get this in my early and mid 20's , many relate this as a jock itch type rash when its simply a matter of the liver being too heated or untoxified.
rice is perfect for liver cooling and the perfect thing to get rid of your rash. try a couple servings a day of rice and the rash will go away very soon less than a week . be persistent though

Pedialyte is much better than gatorade.
Safeway has a generic knock off of it that costs way less.
