fucking hate these things, but I do get a laugh when someone trashes them and the shitdicks come out of the woodwork to defend their ownership
-
I refuse to buy then due to them looking stupid and Im sure they would be out of fashion before I wore them out and I like to wear my shoes out when Im paying good money for them.
Has anybody brought them and have a serious opinion about them, just interested to hear what owners think.
-
I knew a guy that used them for rock climbing, said they were awesome.
-
Has anyone read "Born to Run"? Great book about running.
I would like to own a pair of those but my second toe is longer than my big toe, which is the kiss of death in re: to those shoes.
There is a lot of evidence that modern shoes are bad for serious runners.
Flame away, guys. I'm off for a run now.
-
I thought this was going to be about some sort of massage thingy. :o
-
I have the Fila knockoffs..the skeletoes...and i love them. They're great for HIIT workouts with the bag, ropes, kettlebells, sandbags and the like.

There's not much actually. Most of the "evidence" is conjecture and marketing. It's a very interesting topic though.

Rock climbing they look like they make sense. Running I guess so too. But for the gym I cant see any benifit. Shoes are shoes for weight lifting aslong as they are not heels

Huh, weird, I have the same thing. I thought that was normal. Lulz.

reverse evolution - humans turning into monkies
-
Great for leg day... that's about it for me.
-
I think they're pretty cool but I just wouldn't want the attention they bring. Strangers asking you questions about them and you having to explain yourself. Fuck that. I do think they would be pretty good to golf in.

New Balance Minimus are a superior shoe, IMO. Great for the joints.
-
Similar to a new innovation called flip flops.

-
There's one guy in our gym who wears those things, and he's a total douche.

I think Parker has a pair of almost any shoe, so my signal would be lost in the noise.
-
The onlly way I would ever consider wearing those things is is with 30" quads and 20" calfs!

Don't go there Rob. You'll get buried :)
-
Everyone I know that has these things claims to love them.
I used to do a lot of cardio while barefoot and I really liked it, but I can't bring myself to wear these stupid looking things.
-
Reckon they'd be pretty good for calf raises.

What are you going to do? Hold him down and cut his hair off.

the irony of this post

There are 3 people in my gym who are wearing these. And all three are attention whores to some extent. They aren't total douche bags but lets just say they spend 5 to 10 minutes talking between sets.

The same thing was probably said about shoes at one point in time.
