i applaud the idea and i hope it pays off
BUT
the site is kinda bland looking...what programming language are you using? you may wanna look into hiring some 20 year old CS major who lives and shits Flex or HTML5
E-commerce mogul. Can't quote post.
Your credit card's security is assured.
vince how come beans are nearly double the price of normal beans i get at the super market?
I've not set the prices yet but most of the products come in multi-packs.
imagine taking out walmart, man you gonna be set!
vince how come beans are nearly double the price of normal beans i get at the super market?
I've been working on this for almost a year and I'm a few days out from completion. This is the largest website I've built ever with over 12,000 products. I just need to finish the design and set up the SSL and it will be done. I'm hoping that this organic grocery outlet pays off big time....I'll have some deal for Getbiggers
http://www.calibergrocery.com
Site is slow as molasses man. May wanna tinker with the SQL a bit. Bounce and conversion rates fall dramatically with slow loading sites.
Do you actually have your own stock and a warehouse/ store of your own or do you have to order everything from the manufacturers?
Whatever happened to Goodrum nutriceuticals?
I notice that, i had to modify thek site to take the file. The csv file is 11 megs. I'll take care of that soon
It should help your site if you can decrease the loading time of the site.
Good luck man!
I made some modifications to it....moves much faster now. I'll work on it more in the future
still takes 12-15 seconds for a product page load
Its a heavy file load, my other site I'm working on Caliber Gym Supply at calibergym.com actually crashed and burned pretty hard.
you need to rethink your strategy of constantly loading your massive csv file. the site is far too slow, and you are setting yourself up for failure if you don't get this under control. if the task is outside of your skillset, look on subcontracting some outside assistance to come up with a solution. plenty of sites exist to find freelance developers.
You can buy a dildo and supplements all on one site.

vince how come beans are nearly double the price of normal beans i get at the super market?
It's a baguette and she looks like she could take most of it.
Just to let you folks know...I also built a sister site selling gym equipment and supplies for schools
www.calibergym.com
Wouldn't schools seek suppliers on a tender basis through the municipality?
Not really, because its state and federal money they go with whatever is around. This isn't a new business venture....I've actually started sellling school supplies since 2007 but I just mailed out catalogs. Now they can come online and get their stuff and with their coupon code, they can get their usual discounts that I gave them. Saves me a bunch of time from having to deal with fax and phone orders where I had to manually enter everything.
The thing is that I actually have a number of businesses that I don't mention....I even have a kitchen and appliance company
I decided against creating my own line because there's just so many out there already that I would have gotten lost in the mix. I don't stock any inventory....I use a national grocery supplier for all of my product. They supply the majority of organic and health food stores around the U.S. The difference is that rather than using their web store service, I've built my own and modified it to connect to their database system directly. It updates product inventory and pricing every night.
Overall, the cost to run the grocery website is 15 dollars a month because its running off of my server that runs the rest of my websites and I built it myself. I need to set up a couple of other things such as the shipping rate calculator and attach the SSL to it which I cannot do until Monday...afterwards I'll set the prices and it will be online.
Called dropship companies here in the UK. Maybe the same in the US, don't know. It's a smart idea to do so in my opinion. Fuck buying expensive stock. One thing I'm wondering about is why you took a year to build the website when you can have it done for practically nothing online at places such as Moonfruit and the likes? Comes optimized straight out of the box and you get to configure the whole thing exactly the way you want it, complete with a checkout system too.
For someone who wants to live "off the grid" its rather confusing that you would have multiple commerce sites running that all point back to you (of which you will no doubt have to file taxes on), accept credit cards which all will point back to you, and then come and post on a public forum...which can get back to you.
???
One thing I don't quite get is why your main page is leading me to believe I've stumbled onto a tech website. You selling electronics too?
You got to hand it to vince he has a bunch of shitty products that nobody buys and a website nobody goes to but he keeps trying.
Chuckle, I do quite well because I stopped concentrating on the bodybuilding industry which practically left me high and dry. Appealing to the masses works much better. Some people may think that spending all this time and money on this website just to sell some canned goods and granola bars is a waste but I've been quite successful at my business so I don't really worry about what others think
You were boasting about how well you were doing out of the bodybuilding industry. Now you confess you went broke. That was what Keith and others told you.
Then you had this cheap commercial premise that you posted about. Naturally, you did nothing at all. Just boasting on the internet. Remember when you were
going to open a clinic on the Indian Reserve? The bank manager was licking his chops in anticipation of getting your account! You really are a dreamer.
Maybe you should open a Cyber Gym and get people to join a virtual gym. They will have you as their personal trainer so imagine the results they will get.

Thing is that these 'shitty' websites run themselves really. If you use dropship companies like I imagine Vince does, you're only really left with the marketing. All the posting, returns, damaged shit and so forth are all dealt with by the main supplier. You literally only collect the money. If I had interest in making more money, I'll spam the web with sites selling all sorts of shit and let the main supplier deal with most of the problems. The main things are the website design and the marketing. Really good and clever way to make a living if you put enough effort into it.
I do stock some items but for the most part, shipping items manufacturer direct allows me to market a larger line of stuff....one of the things I did after 2005.
As far as my "shitty websites" are concerned, the designs are intentional. I take a minimal approach so its quicker for people to surf and people don't have to deal with a blinking pile of ads like RX Muscle. People get really annoyed with kind of stuff.....
People just want to be able to buy stuff, checkout, and go on with their business....no use in antagonizing their eyesight ;D
I dont mean shitty as in shitty looking. But if youre doing so well, why do you keep changing websites and making new ones? FB does quite well, thus Zuckerberg doesnt make a new social media website every few months. IF you were doing so well, you wouldnt keep trying different ventures ::) ::)
I hope your site crashes n burns you charcoal looking f.aggot.
Looks like you need to hire some african americans, probably some white guy overpricing your beans bro
hey vince, could you spare me some space and bandwidth for a mini-gracyanne fan site?
vince, if it hasnt been mentioned yet, red is a bad color choice.
without a person being aware, you can not be in the surroundings or stare at red for too long before a mind overload.
mcdonalds, kfc and a few other fast food joints use the color..gues why? to get people out! along with purposely using uncomfortable hard chairs.
just saying, you want people to be browsing for as long as possible. i personally clicked out at the front page after about a minute.
im sure others did too not realizing that it was the blood red that they are introduced with.
good luck
Even off the grid, you have to have a source of income. This is how I pay the bills and if all I need is a computer and internet access, then it isn't too bad

So have you moved outta your trailer yet?
But that income doesn't have to be able to be traced....I thought you didn't want to have things come back to you...thus the house/trailer/shack thing you said you are living in/building
Overpriced shit that nobody will buy even if the price is reduced to half

Do you carry Bartlett Pears in a .44 cal?
HAHAHAHAHAHASomeone came back from the dead.
Who is going to buy milk on the internet? ??? ??? ???
where's the cigarette section ::)
I have a cigar shop coming soon actually....but I'm building it for a client
isnt that like the 9999th "online shoping" website you ve made and that is suposed to make you rich? something tells me all the "profits" you made from these "online businesses" ::) are less than100 bucksthe monthly welfare check you collect from the gov.
You are on par with derek when it comes to delusion.
If true
So compare that with spending 3 hours every week talking on an internet radio show making absolutely nothing. Last month, I did about 32k in equipment and supplement sales and this month I'll finish with around 16k and all I have to do is make sure everything is running and process phone orders. Nothing delusional about that
If true
Impressive...

It is although I'm still paying off my college loan along with the bills I incurred when I was laid off from Alltel. But I'm also putting money aside and investing in property and other business interests. I recently started selling some generic websites on Flippa and its surprisingly doing very well.
I may live in a singlewide trailer and drive an old car and pickup truck but I'm proud of the fact that everything is paid for, I don't have to mooch off the government for food stamps or welfare and I've been able to make a decent living from the fitness industry that does not involve doing webcam sessions, stripping, porn, or some other degrading activity. Most importantly, I'm very happy and I don't have the stress like other people trying to keep up with the Joneses.
i didn't visit the site, but as far as I understand, vince, you basically created a front-end for some major grocery supplier's database... customers shop the supplier's wares through your site, which serves to collect the order data, and you submit it to the supplier? so you are a sort of "middleman," whose sole action is providing a trivial-to-implement website interface to the supplier's database? why doesn't this supplier just spend a couple hundred bucks to get someone to make their own website? what value are you adding to this whole process?
i'm actually curious... it just doesn't make much sense to me. ???

Vince is a black fag who stays at home behind his computer 's screen all day long while his autistic white "boyfriend" goes to work to pay their bills. He discovered web editing softwares and free to configure and install php scripts and thought it made him a web master/designer, no, even better.. a "BUSINESSMAN"...

Key word here being "Total Sales". Obviously OpenCart does not show the brutal 10% commission you earned on that amount
My commission is actually around 21 to 45%.....however consider this......
-The amount I spent building the website including the SSL certificate was 47 dollars.
-The website automatically sends the orders to the distributor...making it basically a no touch system....I simply check the orders and make sure they go through. In all, I spend about 45 minutes a week on site maintenence.....that being configuring the XML files and uploading updates.
In all, its making a profit for basically no work and that's what matters.
If that's all true, then good on you. You've found a way to legally make money for doing absolutely shit work. :D
You got any Grape drank Vince?

"We are currently performing some scheduled maintenance.
We will bebackblack as soon as possible. Please check back soon."
Please explain, why is it so hard to keep a web shop running 24/7, is it running on $500 laptop from Walmart?
honestly Vince, if I didnt get murdered on the exchange rate and shipping, I would gladly buy from you to support your business
Down again.. how am I supposed to stock up on beluga caviar and overpriced groceries?
No, just won't go back online officially until next week however I've turned off the maintenance mode to conduct tests on the software to insure its still intact so feel free to browse.
Hey, if you can't maintain a web shop or operate a computer, then why not outsource it?
Good luck Vince.
As stated above, the photo on the home is very low res. You may want to use another, that french bread stick looks awfully like a cock sticking up out of the bag. And one of the tomatoes seems to be magically floating off in space away from the bag.

Mullah Goodrum, I'm sorry for snapping earlier. Even though you're a fake Black Arab, you're still an Arab, and it was wrong of me to address you like a White devil. It's just that I'd rather see you succeed. This website is a load of shit and it doesn't have to be that way. Can't you just make it look a bit less crap, and actually have half of the items in stock? You never take anyone's advice.
Well, obviously I've not reported on this in awhile for obvious reasons of high grocery cost. The site is almost dead in the water with little sales coming but I did hit the 100k mark for this site in just a year and a half which I'm really impressed with. Now I just have to wait it out
Saw your cousin Niko took a batted ball to the face yesterday or the day before. Please pass along best wishes for a speedy recovery from his Detroit Tiger fan base.
He's fine but yea wasn't good to have happened. He's a free agent now so he'll have time to recover. He's been bounced around from team to team but he's still getting paid. Those baseball camps are just straight fire
Wish him health and success.
He retired from baseball last week.
