I just watched a show on PBS about a class in Arizona Public schools on "Ethnic Studies" (I forget what it was actually called).
The teacher of this class was a radical chicano that was basically uplifting the Latino kids by educating them on how the Founding Fathers were racist, what a swell guy Che Guevara was and how the United States is oppressing them. How they need to rebel against our society, and change it (to be more like the countries they fled?).
In my backward, ignorant, racist mind I see how our founding fathers, and culture obviously built a country and society that these Latinos are risking life and limb everyday to join. If this is such an evil, oppressive country (founded by racist people), why don't they just stay in the land of their ancestors that was probably built on the ideals that they want so badly to impose here in the United States?
This would be like me running a business with bad planning, and going bankrupt. Than joining a new successful company and demanding that they run their business the way I ran my failed business.
Am I missing something?
All the while, these classes are being financed by the oppressive white taxpayers. ::)
Am I wrong here?
Jan Brewer enacted some kind of legislation to end these classes in public schools by the way.

I've been saying the same fucking thing about the fleeing Californians for months. They do the same fucking thing - flee california to the northern states and then try and implement the same fucking ideals that are bankrupting their home state and caused them to leave.
Its fucking insanity, flee to somewhere better and then try and change it so its more like the place you ran away from.
Fucking idiots.

Yes!!!
I'm just not understanding this? We must be missing something? One of the classes (public school) dressed in revolutionary military style uniforms with bandanas over their faces and protested at the Capital Building. That might be how they do things in Juarez, but not here.
I'm sure these lunatics think the tax payers should finance a class on why our country is inferior to the ones they fled, and how they can overthrow our government!

The founders were not perfect men. But they did lay the principles for the perfect society - the principles of individual rights.
