Title: Gym Idea
Post by: Big N on May 26, 2012, 10:40:20 AM
Midsize shopping center, 18 empty locations, a big gym is opening up....what kind of business would you open up with a 1600, 2600, or 5000 sq ft of space.

The key is not to make money, its to make just enough to do whatever you want and write it off.  ;D

Pink's Hot Dog stand.

I never tried one but the one here in LV always has a long line.

Ditto for In and Out Burgers .... Always full of hamburger fans.

Sugar Shack here always appears empty.

Doggy Daycare is a great idea especially in places were the weather is real warm. (I'd break a car window if I saw an animal suffering from the heat while its owner shops.)

I think Keith actually did that once.

I'd stick signs out front "MMA" ...."be like a UFC fighter" , buy two octagons, matts, pads etc...hire some shitty ass trainers and charge out the ass for membership fees and completely take advantage of parents whose kids force them to join because it's cool and they want to be a ufc fighter.  ;D

I've come () this close to doing that, but would probably be arrested.  I never walk away from that situation.  First, I call the cops (around here they will respond), then try to find the owner and rip them a new one once found & hand them a flyer from http://www.mydogiscool.com/  Every time, the owner has been completely obtuse to the whole thing and then I feel bad for berating them publicly.  I think I almost caused a divorce over it once. (will look for past post)

Ready for flames  ::)

Good luck with In N Out Burgers.  Phil Mickelson tried to buy a franchise (he wanted one closer to home to eat at....true) and they turned him down.  They are extremely picky and want very hands on ownership with a proven track record....but anyway, just thought it was interesting.

Plus it helps that they're a Christian company.

SHOW, I ALWAYS thought that In n' Out was strictly family owned and not a franchise. I asked about that about a year ago because they were always very busy .... tons busier than  any McDonald's I've ever seen.

Christian businesses tend to be a little more trustworthy in their business dealings and finances. Most run on little to no debt

Ill invent a massive store/mall called "America Land"
full on all the fast food places you can think of, 2 Gun shops, 5 stripper joints, 420+ beers on tap though the store, and every inch of the inside walls covered in TVs that only play porn, and reality TV shows.  :D

Lol, if I were Phil, I would buy a controlling stake in the company.  Who the fuck are they to tell a paying customer that they can't buy a store?  Having someone like Mickelson could only help the business.

Well, you could open a juice bar... however, you might want to make a provision in your lease that if the gym closes, they let you out of your lease.  I was almost in a pickle last year when I was gonna open a juice-shop/protein shake place in a strip mall across from a 24hr fitness. A week after I had lined up the $$$, the gym announced their lease was up and they were closing. lol.

Are there any MaxMuscle's in the area? Or even a VitaminShoppe?

uh, they have to protect the brand.

The very fact that he wanted to buy one just so he could eat there should tell you he has no business being in that business.

Who cares! It would be fine as long as he staffed it with quality workers.  It's not like a gangsta rapper wanted to get a franchise.  It was a white, popular golfer.

It's an example of good stewardship in business. Why libs and athiests seem to think debt is the only way to grow a business, conservatives and Christians tend to think the opposite. For fucks sake you clowns have a hard time balancing a checkbook let alone runs business through this economic disaster. Simple concept....low to no debt = little worry though economic hard times. It's a biblical principal. Really not that hard to figure out, its cpmmonsence, the things athiests and libs lack. Always trying to do things the hard way!

haha, do you even know any atheists that own a business, you imbecile. And citing 1 or 2 doesnt count as sufficient evidence.

Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are both considered agnostics, probably even atheists, and blow your shitty business, as well as most christian businesses away.

I was making a joke

I already know what you're referring too (hint to you for future reference - that will almost always be the case)

I've eaten there a few times and could never understand why anyone thinks it's good

very mediocre burgers for people with very mediocre taste

the fundie owners like sneaking in bible verses and other nonsense onto their wrappers and cups

fundies are like a virus - they constantly feel the need to infect more people with their craziness

it almost seems like the sole purpose of their existence - maybe to ensure future donations

weird that you would have a problem wtih the source and then go on to say the EXACT same thing as the source

what is it with you fundies that you need to include bible shit in everything you do

this company does the same thing
