I do think Wiggs should have been cast Instead of Jamie Foxx though. I think he could have pulled Django off easily.

Monster fake moustache because you dont have enough test to grow facial hair ;D

I really was hoping to get in as an extra on Lincoln, but they decided to film in Richmond and I was unable to make it there in time. Would have been great fun though. Its easy to get these type of things because most everyone is obese these days and not 1800s emaciated enough. Luckily my physique is perfect for that. I could also do Auschwitz scenes too if needed!

That's BS! ;D
The men on my mother's side can't grow complete facial hair, which I also have the problem. It's from a Native bloodline. Bitch tried to get smart and said it was from high estrogen. If I didn't have so much on the line, I would have twisted his Wigg (no pun).

Where do you learn of these extra casting opportunities...

all of us who know anything about the film industry are laughing at you for bragging about being an extra.
sitting around all day long. they don't let you even eat around let alone look at or talk to the real stars.
$100 for 18 hours of work. well, sitting around all day with all the rest of the wannabe losers thinking they are going to go from extra to movie star. LOL
you really have to have the perfect physique to be an extra. ha ha

Who cares about that, at least you can see him in a big movie (not independent one) on the bigscreen cinema.
It's not about his paycheck for the movie or how long he sat around.
That's irrelevant.

Congrats, TA. Good to see you'll be on the Silver Screen or a few of these new flat, wall mounted TV screens that they make now-a-daze!
I was a stunt coordinator on some occasions making sure everone was supposed to be where they were supposed to be and making sure that they were delivered to a local emergency ward when that was required, but the interesting part of my day was watching the PERFECTION that went on behind the camera to ensure what the camera saw was itself perfect to impress the movie going audiance.
One well know director declared that the behind-the-scenes activity was somewhat comparable to the WWII landing at Normandy.
It was an exaggeration of course and his way of showing his graditude but it was a fairly accurate description and my small part received an 'honorable mention' when we wrapped which I missed due to an extended hospital visit with a member of my crew.
You were'nt paid much but I'm sure you enjoyed yourself.
One last comment which you might enjoy ......
The extras might spend a week or more sweating their asses off filming a three minute battle scene ... all with explosives and flying dirt and repeating it over and over until the 2nd unit director is satisfied.
And then maybe eight days later the main crew shows up to make sure everything is absolutely perfect .... followed by a few limos containing the principal players who only jump out of that limo when the camera is ready to roll with a major battle going on in the background.
The star may simply say something like, "Take that hill, Lieutenant!" and if he says it like the principal direct0r wants him to say it, the PD will yell, "CUT!!" and the limos will rev up and the stars hop in and are outta there.
And the extras are usually still hard at work on some hill in the background getting blown up for peanuts while that 0ne-line star just made a couple of hundred thousand for getting his ass out of that limo and yelling at some new Hollywood hopeful while the camera rolled.
If you stay with it you should ask how to get a SAG card,
And be advised that you may have many opportunities as manty Southern StATES are offering tax advantages to Hollywood Motion picture makers to get additional revenue
Next time inquire about getting your name above the title. That alone may impress some of these GetBig guys and gals or get you immediately thrown off the set.
But the main thing is to enjoy yourself during a multi-million dollar undertaking and observe what's happening around you and behind the camera.
It's an amazing business if you're wise enough to stay alert.
Did you provide your own uniform?

you were in 300 too right? Dude do you just sit at your computer browsing extra opening or what? ;D
-
TEX. I don't know how TA got this extra job, but I can just about guarantee that he won't have to sit in front of any computer screen looking for any movie work once he proves himself to be dependable, reliable, and always on time with any production company he becomes associated with.
I have family members who have worked in major motion pictures for the past ten years with few days off due to their reliability and dedication to the current production.
One, in fact, only had days off during the writer's strike a while back.
Another family member is retired but holds a SAG Card and hops from project to project as he sees fit. Maybe only working in one or two films a year while acting as a terrorist in military training exercises on other numerous occasions.
Get that SAG Card, TA.

Are you the n|gga in the back picking cotton and posing with the white folk?

Select a response
A. Ah, that was spelled that way on purpose as a joke, you see.
B. "Grammer" Nazis are of my own invention but the word has the same intension as "Grammar." Therefore, I didn't misspell anything.
Option B. selected

"Grammer" Nazis are of my own invention but the word has the same intension as "Grammar." Therefore, I didn't misspell anything. I win!
i think you meant to write 'intention'

If that is TA he isn't following instructions because all of the other riders with rifles are holding them upright. Poor discipline.
How much did you get paid for that part?
-
I am in the new Asterix movie as a Barbarian
-
LOL, that would be funny if I made yet another spelling mistake, but actually 'intension' is a real word that is used in linguistics and has a rather narrow meaning compared to its cousin "intention."
grammer nazi! ;D

I didn't find this to be true at all. Granted, you're not exactly breaking the bank working as an extra but I know it's more than $100 for 18 hours of work. I've worked as an extra in television and it was twice that pay for half of that time. I would assume movies would probably rake in more. Also the stars (Michael Imperioli / Natalie Martinez) actually ate with the rest of the cast and crew. I guess different experiences with different productions.

i was in mission impossible (tom cruise) back in the early 2000,s, they where filming it around the corner from where i was living and they needed extras, i watched the movie and didnt see myself at all >:(

Considering Vince hasn't sold equipment to others since the 80's you are 100% correct.
