Great book and movie.

I saw the movie on a double bill with Bakshi's Lord of the Rings back in the late 70's or early 80's.

Never read the book but have seen the movie lots of times (good 'ol HBO during the early 80's didn't have a large catalog and ran the shit out of everything) and then bought the dvd a few years ago when I was feeling nostalgic
