I remember that he completed in 2009 but i have not heard much about him since then, is he taking this seriously and trying to go for mr o or is he chilling out, does anybody knows whats up with him lately.
-
would like to know as well.

I competed against him in 2007 and we were both light heavy's and he came in at 197. I competed as a heavy in 2011 at the Southern USA and he competed there as well... He came in a whopping 245lbs on stage!!! Took the show against a long list of seasoned nationally rank competitors. He told me he was going to try to shoot for nationals, and that he was going to show his father who did not approve of his bodybuilding... Kind of odd...

He seems to have blown up a lot in the last couple years, looks like he might make a serious impact once he gets to the pro ranks

Regression toward the mean. In terms of bodybuilding genetics, the Myth married down.
she was a pretty big woman, Arlene; i think? she had to be 160 solid. didn't look like she would have trained much. shot Sergio sr. in the gut with his service revolver.

The last sentence---"approval from dad", hmmm

How tall is he?

Oliva Jr. has a great physique, but it's obvious that it doesn't rival his father's. I do hope that Sergio, fils, has enjoyed a strong and meaningful relationship with Sergio, pere, which, of course, transcends anything he can attain on stage (and vice versa).
Methinks a relationship akin to Heathcliff and Theo Huxtable, ain't in the cards.
-
Well, short of its realization, one can only hope it's not akin to Heathcliff and Linton Heathcliff. 8)

He stands around 5'10... A lot of these pictures are older when he was a light heavy back in 2007. Now, he's big, full muscle bellies, great proportions...

Not very impressed

The Myth is in very serious medical condition.

The Myth is in very serious medical condition.
Terry Strand at Ironage posted this:
"Sergio is on now dialysis 3 times a week for about 4 hours each time, and says he's very tired after the treatments. He's also been in the hospital for physical rehab for various problems, some stemming from being mugged last year by two guys waiting in his doorway who jumped him from behind. The dirtbags wrenched his beautiful religous gold medal off of him that he was always seen wearing.
Had lunch today with Bob Gajda, and Bill Seno, and we reminisced about Oliva. I'm trying to get Sergio out to John Hansen's August contest to man a table selling his autographed posters...I doubt that it will happen...last year Oliva was too frail to appear, or felt he wouldn't want to disappoint his fans in his present shape. John has always been great in offering Sergio a free table at his shows. Sergio was invited to Barbados for next month to appear at an honorarium, but don't see how he could make it with his current medical problems. Sad.
That's the latest."
