Title: CTers at it already on SCOTUS hearing
Post by: 240 is Back on June 28, 2012, 10:45:58 PM
Now, Roberts has been VERY conservative on many issues, and repubs loved him until today.  So I doubt his judgment has been affected.

BUT -

I'm pretty sure him having a seizure, fainting, being rushed to hospital and going thru all that may have played into his decision making.  I mean, it's easy for 30 year old getbiggers to say "I make good money, choose not to carry health insurance, and the ER will take care of me for free if I need it.  It's another thing for 50 year old man like Roberts to face a very scary hospital stay, realize how nice his treatment was, and maybe take on a 'everyone needs healthcare' kind of outlook.

So him impaired?  No way.    Roberts being influenced by his hospital stay?  almost certainly.

Claiming that Justice Roberts may be at the least "impaired" by his anti-seizure medicine.

Drudge Smears Justice Roberts Over His Seizures

In response to the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of health care reform, the Drudge Report is smearing Chief Justice John Roberts over the possibility that he might use epilepsy medication and suggesting that it affected his judgment.

Drudge linked to a Real Clear Politics post that contains a clip of right-wing radio host Michael Savage claiming that "if you look at Roberts' writings you can see the cognitive disassociation in what he is saying."

(snip)

Among Savage's numerous outrageous remarks, he said in 2008 that autism is a "fraud, a racket" and called it "a phony disease."

Savage called it Wednesday night, saying that when he found out Roberts was writing the opinion, he knew it was over and that Roberts sold the Republicans out. And, he let the conservative pundits (Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, etc.) have it on his Thursday show.

You can just say Saudi Handlers and Jr. High and then you won't have to make complete sentences.

Should minimize your risk at spelling tough words like 'definitely' incorrectly.

I'm building a political career.

I'm already a GWOT veteran. A second language and foreign living experience should round me out pretty well.

Can I count on your vote?

Do you understand how the internet works? That 'www' thing you see at the top of your screen stands for world wide web. Google it if it confuses you.

Why aren't you moving if you hate this country so much?

repubs thought roberts was fine, as he was the uber-conservative on so many rulings since his illness.

Now they're all medical experts, since he has made one decision they disagree with.

More like you didn't have any other options. You don't come off as intelligent so I can't see you making it past a first round interview at any respectable firm.

Problem is that one decision has to potential to change the course of the nation. Roberts is calling it a "tax", which congress has the power to enact. The whole problem with that is all tax measure's originate in the House of Representatives, where did this bill originate? The Senate. This whole thing is a cluster fuck and the SC has let the American people down.

I could have had plenty of government jobs, if I so chose.

Not sure what 'firm' you're referring to.

I guarantee you that I'm a smarter person than you are.
