The optic in the 2nd pic is a Elcan Spectre DR, which has a dual zoom of 0x-4x. Its pretty fucking awesome, flip a lever, go from 0x zoom to a 4x optic.

I don't think Andy likes guns much. He was an 8 year old school pupil at Dunblane primary school in Scotland in 1996 when nutter Thomas Hamilton walked into the school with two 9mm browning automatics and two .357 magnum revolvers and shot dead 16 kids and one teacher. Andy was at school that day and hid under a desk with other pupils. The dead kids were all 5 and 6 years old. Hamilton then shot himself. Apparently he was angry because he had not been allowed to be a Boy Scout leader any more.
