All they're doing is taking something successful elsewhere, and do the same here. It also happens the other way all the time. It's smart business to model your endeavor off something that has a proven record.

I understand the concept; I just feel that something gets lost in the translation.

I'm sure the decision has been a profitable one for all concerned.

LOL...Diebeetus...I always laugh when I see that commercial and hear him pronounce it that way. He's a tough old fart, good actor.

What gets lost are all the contestants squinting all the time.

But I get your complaint, I just think it doesn't hold on this example. The show is really cool, and the fact that the ultimate goal is to compete in Japan, takes away from it just being a chance to "americanize" something. It's more like global expansion.

I have no idea what this thread is about. But I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever seen anyone use a different font on getbig.
