His magazine in the early 80's was awesome. He would send out a guy with a camera, usually Chris Lund, and record actual workouts of the stars. You would discover that they did a lot less sets and used lower weights than the articles in the weider mags stated.

it was different and an improvement from issue 1, only early ironman mags could compare.

A great guy by all accounts.  Pretty good physique too on that cover shot.
