One huge Great White was spotted off of Outer Banks or Nags Head. Gotta go where the food is. Alot of places are overfished as well.

It's rare but not unheard of for great whites to be spotted around Florida. When I was a beach lifeguard a little over 10 years ago we had one pop on one of our beaches in NE Florida. This was the same year that kid got killed by a shark his relative caught down in St. Augustine. We also had an attack the following week on our beach where a swimmer got his foot tore up pretty bad. Sharks were acting weird around our parts that year.

While chartering a boat off the outter banks a few years back not only had they seen several White sharks but the capt told us that a pod of killer whales was not far off kittyhawk earlier in the season

wow, I like St augustine beach.....I've never heard anything happened around the daytona beach area, but I heard New Smyrna beach is known for attacks from time to time, mostly by bull sharks

Great whites definitely go that far south, they arent as 'common' along the atlantic or gulf/caribbean as they are on the pacific side but they are certainly there...on of the biggest great whites ever caught was off cuba

On my last dive in Hawaii I saw a baby shark in a cave... my heart started to race with fear! If there is a cute baby shark in your line of sight you can bet a big momma shark is not too far away. I hear sharks like dark meat! :o

Lol, I am a pussy when it comes to shit like that. You won't catch me diving, snorkeling, or going past knee deep water in the ocean. People get whats coming to them when they invade the ocean.

I lived in Perth for a while and we used to go down to the beach sometimes drink and go swimming at like 6am. Not a wise thing to do around those times especially as there was a few shark attacks along the coast that year and one 50-something guy was eaten by a great white. Scary things dem sharks
