Yesterday was the anniversary of Bruce Lee's death. He died 39 years ago yesterday. Bruce Lee was the biggest influence on martial arts in history, and his career only spanned a few short years. He is one of the most recognized faces in human history and his influenced spanned from film-making, philosophy, martial arts, action movies, etc. Even today action actors are being inspired by him, as we saw in the latest spiderman movie who said he got his inspiration from Bruce Lee.
There will never be another Bruce Lee, and we can only imagine what he would have accomplished had he not died at such a young age.

It may come as a shock to you, but he didn't die.....he wanted to get away from the fuzz.
He moved to Taiwan and opened a gym.

It seems that Bruce posts on some bodybuilding forum, too.... ;)

Cue for some GetBigger to claim that while Bruce was influential in his day, the GetBigger would easily kick Bruce's ass due to superior ground skills and Munzer-like conditioning.
-
Good conditioning but little mass.
Add 15iu of HGH
300mg weekly of trenbolone acetato
1g test weekly
Anadrol 100mg daily
Good luck Bruce

Squadfathers "...quite the attitude on that little china man" destroyed his legacy forever - the pen is mightier than the sword. ;D ;D ;D

I truly believe he was capable of kicking a mans heart all the way through his back.
-
He inspired many of us during the late 70's early 80's to start training Martial Arts
-
Bruce was bad as fuck, but his legend was secured on screen, not in the ring.

A decision much more thought-out and requiring much more ability than jumping in a ring and bashing someone's head in. Back in the 1970s there was no MMA or UFC or Pride. There were "Karate tournaments" but few got paid much and it was much less about pure fighting than exhibition and styles, and Bruce Lee was against martial arts 'styles' as well.

Yes, I beleive Bruce suffered a broken back early in his career and I don't think he entered the ring again. His style has some good and bad. The high flying kicks are very cinematic but would be a disaster in the streets. I don't think he would have done well against a guy like Bill Wallace.

He wouldn't have done his movie fighting in the street. But he also didn't do many high flying kicks in movies either. His movie fighting was much more realistic than even today's movie fighting. Think Jet Li and Jacky Chan..

Those were just for the movies.
I've read a few of his books, he believed in using simple basic attacks that could end the fight as soon as possible.

He beat alot asses know doubt.

Exactly. Faber could probably kick his ass. That aint saying much. Lee was probably mostly hype.

It's quite useless to speculate in such a manner, since things like that are impossible to know.
Urijah wasn't even born when Bruce was in his prime.
If Urijah would challenge Bruce today, Bruce would have been 72 years of age.
If Bruce was born in the 1980's instead of in 1940, he would not have been the same person, and would probably have trained differently if at all.

an icon for sure though

is he honestly different then a guy like van damme? Both guys showed martial arts on the big screen. Van damme has also been a champion in real life as well.

Van Dam just followed Bruce Lee's path. Bruce was the one who paved it. Without Bruce who knows how things might be today. Probably still with people flying all around on hokey ropes and with swords and stuff.

Looks to be an inspiring up-and-comer.
What's he bench?
