Good video and I'm glad they showed what it really takes to try and get these best times. Liter bikes will always be faster in the 1/4 than even the best performance cars sans the Veyron SS which is more comparable in the 1/4 to a bike , hell most 600s can do 10+ second 1/4s

Power to weight ratio, and traction are both in the bikes favor.

The best part was when they brke down the times...shows you that when it comes to high horsepower and street tires, and launch techniques, there are diff variables.
I also thnking that if the Porsche had the Turbo's dual clutch, that it may have been able to pull off a win.
The DCTs, lower the shift times considerably---which is what the Veyron has, and the 911 Turbo, GTR, Aventador and Ferrari F12 are just a few 10ths off of the Veyron.

I really dislike Chris Harris as a car reviewer. He takes the fun out of whatever vehicle he drives by talking about nonsense.
Also a couple Brits doing the quarter mile in a 911 and Ducati is just plain retarded. Neither are straight line machines ...makes no sense for such a dumbass comparison.
1/4 mile times in my opinion are pretty much reserved for american muscle cars and top fuel dragsters (anyone who has been to a NHRA even will know what I'm talking about)

I think he was doing something diff, and apparently, he will be doing more...you can only do soo much with the limited amount of Exotics....and there are only a handful.
I like when he took a C63 AMG and put spare savers on the car and went out on the track...
I like him as a car reviewer, he gives crisp, clean reviews, and is no nonsense, he also is a proficient driver, and pulls no punches...WHich is why he has developed a legion of followers from Autocar, EVO Magazine, and now Drive channel

the 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a Beast from another world, but if I had that money to spend, the ferrari 455 italia would be my choice instead

I have a 911 & I get fucked with by push rod v8 guys all
The time driving around on a daily basis.
A 1/4 mile run is just a dick measuring contest.
There are plenty of track queens that are built just for 1/4 miles & that's fine but a 911 is not a 1/4 mile
Machine. It's made for twisty roads & curvy tracks.
Anyone that's ever seen NHRA 1/4 mile events with dragsters doing 1000 feet in high 3 seconds knows what I'm talking about.

Don't even have to watch this to know the bike is quicker.

Yep. It's retarded.
Hey I'm a famous magazine car reviewer & for my next editorial I'll
Compare a Bugatti veyron Vs a Harley Davidson!
