If the election were held today, Mitt Romney would lose. This is especially vexing when we have survey after survey showing that two-thirds of Americans think the country is going in the wrong direction. This is especially disconcerting when you see the numbers that came out yesterday on the voters’ confidence in America’s future: an overwhelming majority of Americans think America now is in decline and that their children’s future will not be as bright as their own. Forty-two months straight of over 8 percent unemployment.

Laura Ingraham knows how the Repubs in this election - with another candidate.
History shows GOP dumping Mitt = Win. Keeping him? Odds not so good
These stats are fascinating. Toss in the real-life facts that the majority of Repubs don't like Mitt... Makes you wonder...
There were 21 GOP Presidential nominations where there was no sitting incumbent running for President of the United States. In 13 of these instances, the presumptive nominee won the nomination at the convention, but only 4 became President in the November general election.
However, of the 8 brokered conventions where someone OTHER than the presumptive candidate won the GOP nomination – 7 went on to become President.

Laura Ingraham is a liberal.
you beat me to it :D :D :D

The more despereate Romney becomes, the more likely he will choose a 'fresh face" instead of someone who will hold it together in the national spotlight.
Maybe repubs know how desperate he is, and foresee a desperation "Hail mary" pass with an odd pick.
It's pretty funny that LIBERALS were the ones saying what a flawed canddiate Mitt was. Other GOPers knew it too.
Why the hell did republicans choose him? Cause he ran the most commercials?

Up by 3 in Ras, tied in Gallup, while being outspect 3-1 before he can use the money he raised before convention.
Yeah - real terrible place to be.

They didn't choose him. He was the last one left standing after the other third tier candidates went down faster than the Titanic. He was able to postpone his crash and burn longer than they did. Which is why we are just now seeing the start of the downward spiral.
