Title: A Calorie is a Calorie Question
Post by: orangeman on August 11, 2012, 05:41:22 PM
Since I joined this site I have been using the Adonis method with good success to lose weight. One thing I dont understand is: If I take in 2400 calories a day and at one meal I eat lets say 1200 calories, and then I have a long period of time til my next meal (lets say 6 hours), does the metabolism slow down if there is a big gap between meals? Ive heard that can happen but am not real educated on this matter

No, your metabolism will not slow down. I recall one study where a drop in metabolism did not manifest until the study group exceeded the 72hr fasting mark.

1 meal of 600 kcals will rev everything up as much and for as long as 2 meals of 300 kcals, yes, it is that simple.

i used to religously eat every three hours with a really clean diet

i switched to a normal breakfast lunch and dinner and noticed no diference

there is no such thing as the anabolic window

this was invented by supplement companies scamming people your body will use the nutrients it needs when ever it gets them

You needed to be wearing a gravity suit while deadlifting 220 for 115, otherwise you anabolic window is gone.

Hope this helps.

When you leave home to go to the gym, make you check all your anabolic windows are closed otherwise cataburgular will break in and steal your muscles ;D

Honey loops with milk, a danish pastry, 2 coffees and a snickers.
