Don't worry. If you qualify for one of these cards, American Express will seek you out. Most getbiggers carry a secured credit card, if anything. Lol

I was hesitant to post this, but believe it or not getbiggers, I used one of these cards on 3 purchases.
-
My father has multiple credit cards of which each has a 15k-20k credit limit. I have a couple that are capped at 5k, lol.
-
You gotta be a player to carry it . . . $3500 a year just to have the account. Spend a minimum of $150,000 per year to keep the account open, comes with a reader you plug into your computer to check account balances. A good card, but $3500 good? Get a gold visa and attach a line of credit.

I have a platinum American Express, cost $450 a year, but the benefits are well worth it. Free companion ticket for international flights business/first class. Concierge service, late check out at all hotelS etc. it's hands down the best card you can have. Always can talk to a human, you can spend whatever you want on it, I have charged as much as 26,000 at one time. Only downside, you have to pay the balance monthly. I know when my billing cycle closes, so I pay my business/supplier accounts on that day, and don't have to pay it for 45 days. It's like laundering money, plus you get points. :D

Bro if you are dropping $26 LARGE on one charge you are a player. And you are correct, Amex ( although they now have credit cards ) made their bones as charge cards . . . you gotta pay that shit off. The platinum card is a boss card.

Not like I'm dropping it to just spend frivolously, I use it for my business. I have material bills where I carry a balance of 40-60k a month, and pay them with my amex. I also use it for other stuff too, but that doesn't amount to what I spend for work. The benefits are awesome though, and I tell anyone who can, get one.

lol for anybody using a credit card to begin with, for what? you either have the money or you don't and don't get cute with online shopping thats what you used re-chargable credit cards for, if you haven't noticed credit cards is one of the best ways for the bank to screw normal people over.
-
Aren't you the fellow who can't even spell? Perhaps credit is too volatile for you.
haha, must have hurt your feelings.
-
We paid off and destroyed our credit cards. Credit cards are a financial death sentence for most. Want to know why people are financially fucked....credit cards.
-
Again, for simpletons like yourself and Stark who think credit cards are toys, yes, they are bad news. For high rollers, they are indespensible.
It's still a debt dumbass. Most "high rollers" black cards are paid through their corporations. That's like saying all "high"rollers" drive Bentleys. The smart ones drive less. You're views are delusional
-
"You're views"? And YOU are calling ME dumbass? Good luck old man. Lol
Kill yourself you worthless troll.

Convenience, you can pay that mother fucker off monthly.
-
I don't have a credit or debit card.
-
I think I have a $500 limit on my emergency card. I didn't have one until last year also and I'm 31. I do have a business visa that I use on occassion.

All the truly wealthy people i know don't own cards.
They are useless if you actually have money, but i can understand using one for business reasons.

You know what's really sad? If a person has no debt and wants.to.let's say finance a nice car, buy a home, etc they get turned downed and credit.scores actually drop because of LACK of credit. It's not right.

Yeah it's stupid. That's the only reason i have a card is because of that, i've had the same card for 12 years.

If you pay it off monthly, there is nothing wrong with it. You actually collect points/rewards for using it. I'm going to Europe for Christmas, and my wife's ticket will be free just for using the card. It's only when you don't pay it off that it becomes a problem. You might say that if you can buy something, why not just pay cash, but like I said the rewards are worth it. I get about 100,000 points a year, and thats good for a few tickets to St Martin.

That's just the thing though. They know most are not going to pay it off. They play off that. Personally I think it pisses them.off if you pay the balance in full each month.

No shit, but I don't care about those morons, just me. ;D seriously though, if you are taught fiscal responsibility, credit cards are not a bad thing. But, Amex is not a credit card like visa, it's almost like a line of credit, they can decide to not renew it yearly.

Like Coach said, you are one of the few that uses the card as intended. The companies bank on people not like you.

Bullshit....I actually know someone who has one. If you have it, tell us about it. Whats your minimum spending limit? How about the physical qualities of the card?
Why not simply take a pic of you holding it? I am sure you could put your fingers over the account number.....gimmick

Have to agree....AMex is the shit when it comes to their cards. You forget your Ipad on a plane, Amex will get you a new one. Want to extend your warranty? AMex's extension on them is way better than others. Store wont take your purchase back? AMex will get it returned for you.
-
The card thing is a wank, I have two mangers who work for me who utilise them to pay bills accumulate points etc as part of their salary package, they will always work for me, as this is how they roll, sacrificing lifestyle for cash, all fees and charges are a drawing of their salary,me I would take the most cash on offer save, and get out on my own, but im happy for the deal, whilst they are high maintenance employees they are also very good at what they do and I am very happy for them to always spend more than they earn.
The secret to being able to get credit without cards is to own shit, save then buy something of value with a preference to finding something that doesnt depreciate in value quickly, once you are in the positive position your credit will be fine, only a dumb ass would look to build up a rating by accumulating debt with high interest on cards to improve their rating, do the hard yards first up get your rating.

No shit, welcome to Capitalism you liberal socialist.

Ok, Cock Jockey Davidson.
-
I have a feeling that japhalice ordered this card thinking the voiceover on the advert said 'Express Black Cock for $3500 a year' needless to say he was dissapointed when the envelope arrived
-
"jephrius" comes across as the type of guy that you'd find repeatedly driving up and down past all the trendiest bars with his ridiculously muscled forearm hanging out of a Datsun wearing 14 fake Rolex watches, all whilst his "Black Card" hangs conveniently from his rearview mirror.

Haha, yes BigC. This twinkie eats the Cheeze-Whiz straight out of the can!
-
A member of my family has an account with them. The card itself feels like a lightweight metal, probably titanium? It's light like aluminum, but much stronger. I believe he told me it was a$2500 annual fee, plus a $7000 or so up front membership fee. He uses it for business only, but the benefits are amazing...elite airport club access, hotel benefits, etc.
-

wrong you will get approched for this card any slump can get a green card you cannot request a black card
-
Credit Cards are for those who don't have the money in the first place!
-
Is that the card you use at sams club to buy all them toilet rolls you show off in every pic you post?
-
Many moons ago I worked in an AMEX call center. The "black card" customers never got relegated to the "loser queue" ; they had their own dedicated reps to handle their calls.
Credit cards can be powerful tools when used correctly. While I would never encourage one to spend recklessly, the fact is that sometimes it makes sense to use someone else's money for a while. Carrying a balance is NOT "debt"
-

::)
Here's a couple of things I picked up with my points:
TomTom Via
Several $50 and $100 cards over the years
2 coach round trip tickets - 48 states
I usually have money in hand, like for my lease, but I get points, so I pay the card off one week later with the cash I had in hand already. ::)
Oh, I don't have the Black Card, have a poor man's card, but it works the same.
-

From what I understand, you have to be an American Express card holder first to get it. I was a green card holder, and was offered my platinum card. Limit is based on what you spend and what you make. I was not aware you could just skip to a centurion card without first being a card holder.
-
You just don't get it. You don't "skip" to The Black Card. Centurion Card Holders are affluent members of society, like myself, who are approached by American Express and quietly invited to join this exclusive group. They represent the absolute top shelf of society and are indulged in a lifestyle beyond your comprehension.
the only thing not beyond your comprehension is running out of 1 ply toilet paper, other than that you are pretty much living a fantasy

Someone will photoshop The True Adonis's name on the black card in 3,2,1

AMEX also checks your post count on GetBig before approaching you for the black card.

Same here.. I just use one for shopping online, then pay it right off... No debt with these sly scumbag credit companies..

This is true.

The next major "terrorist" attack will wipe out a huge portion of peoples electronic debts. Some people who don't hold a balance are going to really be kicking themselves.lol
