Yeah, but still. Its still there. Once humans get done with it, probably wont even exist any more. Obviously, I am being somewhat sarcastic and just pointing out the fact that humans find a way to destroy everything they touch.

yes and if you dont understand the gravity of this and the enormous new leap we made for humanity than you have less backbone than a yellyfish.
You know its always people like you, suspicious of sience, but you people don't have a problem that a to kill some AK swinging turban wearing guy in douchbegistan costs close to 500k a pop - that's just dandy with you.
But that we spend 2 billion (which in the grand of things is fuck all) was spend to help humanity to reach a new understanding of themselves of the universe we life in, that's a little too much to comprehend for you.
You're just another one of these "lets jump on the bandwagon" guys that try to impress anybody who is stupid enough to listen to you with the half educated dribble that comes out of your mouth.

Time to start Terra-forming.
Actually, we just need to find the reactor hidden in the mountain that activates and melts the polar ice caps.
Im sure Quaid knows exactly where its at.
Now, if we could just convince Cohagen and Richter to let him turn it on....

So it looks like we really have not innovated shit for the last 15 years.
-
yes, you're correct, Opportunity rover, which arrived on Mars January 2004.
here are the three types of rovers we've landed on mars, 1997, 2004 and 2012

Oh there are things, just things we don't know about. I saw a stat the other day and it said for every one year of technology we advance, the U.S. military is 44 years ahead...see stealth bomber and fighter for example.
