Repubs' worst nightmare is Obama/Hilary 2012.
www.drudgereport.com

Yeah OK ::), he can have whoever he wants as VP, doesn't change the fact that Obama is at the top of the ticket
-
But, why drop Biden, if the two of them are doing so doggone well, creating jobs and saving the country?

yep. But hilary? He has to be gentle (against a woman you can't be rage) - and she would school obama/mitt/biden/ryan combined. She's smart shrewd, tough, experienced.
Repubs should be careful begging for biden to step down. hilary on the ticket - that announcement would give obama a bump in polls that romney didnt see from ryan.
and if you doubt obama's ability to make bold moves, you're nuts.

Hillary will not want any part of the landslide coming against obamanation

if there is a landslide, hilary loses all power completely. She's already said no second term as sec of state.
you dont think she'd at least sit down and LISTEN to the offer? Hilary has goals for the world. Right now, obama and her could be writing out the list of powers she will have as veep, the policy positions he will take, legislation he'll rally for. She's probably writing her own ticket.
Obama loses in 2012, and she is a lame duck. When 2012 rolls around, she's 70 and romney has the power of the incumbency. it's now or never. if she gets veep NOW, she will bump obama in polls like you wouldn't believe.

And sticking Hilary on the ticket stops Obama's policies from sucking, because.........

You mean the era, with the GOP running Congress and the Democrat president forced into signing conservative policies into law, left and right (Defense of Marriage Act, welfare reform, etc)?
Again, how does Clinton keep Obama's policies from sucking?

oh my bad, I didnt realize swing voters chose candidates based upon policy.
I thought they rolled with the one they liked better, identified with, would have a beer with, and with whom they felt more comfortable.

Gaffe-tastic week for Biden fuels speculation of Hillary swap

Jonathan Martin reports from the road that Joe Biden’s staff has begun imploring the pool reporters to edit Biden’s remarks:
His staff’s response is effectively to try to save Biden from himself. During the Virginia trip reporters were hustled out of retail campaign stops in diners and other intimate settings, aides tried to edit media pool reports for any potential landmines that could be seized on by Republicans and even hovered at close range to eavesdrop on journalists’ conversations with attendees at Biden rallies. …
What’s perhaps most striking about the Biden staff’s attempts at press management is its effort to influence what goes in the pool reports from his off-schedule stops. Because the entire press corps cannot easily jam in, say, a diner or private home, it is standard practice to have a single designated reporter take notes and share the material with colleagues from other news organizations.
I don’t think a switch is in the offing, because I think that Sarah Palin all but poisoned the option this week:
After that well-publicized challenge, Obama wouldn’t dare take her advice and dump Biden from the ticket. Even a medical reason would look like a panicked, defensive move at this point, especially after this week’s nonstop series of VP bungling on the campaign trail. We’re more likely to see a Biden apology than a withdrawal, and I don’t think that’s likely at all. The last convention purge of an incumbent VP from a ticket came in 1944, and only because Henry Wallace had become an open admirer of Joseph Stalin — and thankfully, we ended up with a President Truman r
Obama’s stuck with Biden. That’s actually bad news for everyone, but fortunately American voters can keep Biden from being one heartbeat away from the presidency in November

LOL... palin is a footnotes... not even one of the top 5 repub voices on the pundit side. a joke.
if obama chooses hilary - and palin brags - then in peoples' eyes, Palin is endorsing hilary.
palin does this shit all the time. "Fire Rahm!" when Rahm needed fired. Which obama did not. She tries to predict things like this, jump on the bandwagon of inevitable shit.
Obama/HIlary would destroy Romney. Palin could gloat as Romney is down 12 points.

Hilary don't change 8% or higher unemployment for 43 straight months. Hilary don't change $4/gallon gas. Hilary don't change 48 million people on foodstamps.
One more time, Hilary stops Obama's policies from sucking, because.......

Obama made a surprise visit to DNC headquarters today.
Now, IF he was swapping biden for hilary - immediately after making the choice, he WOULD go to DNC HQ and get the message, details, and game plan going with everyone in the same room.
Interesting!

This shows panic and desperation more than anything.
The internals must be devastating as Axelrod is also melting down all over the place. And where Pooooooofe the Magic Dragon lately? After he got busted for cashing 100k checks from Iran he is nowhere to be found.

It's a surprise when Obama shows up anywhere, that doesn't involve a golf tee or $40,000 per plate fundraiser/worshipfest for him.

dems stayed home. it was a midterm. midterms aren't about personality, they're about vengence. 2006, it was the dems striking back for 04. In 10, it was repubs striking back for 2008. Whoever wins WH in 2012 will experience vengence in 2014 elections.

Dems are still going to stay home. Gallup reporting 13 plus advantage for repub voters over demos.

President Obama makes surprise visit to DNC
Source: CNN
President Barack Obama made the brief drive to the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee in Washington Thursday to thank staff members there for their work on his re-election effort.
Obama – who has no campaign events scheduled for Thursday – just finished a three-day swing through Iowa, where he hammered his Republican opponent Mitt Romney for everything from his stance on wind energy to his position on Medicare.
(snip)
"The President stopped in to the DNC headquarters today to thank staff for all of their hard work and fire them up for the months ahead," Woodhouse said.

The '02 midterms weren't about vengeance. Bush and GOP gained seats that year.

post-911, everyone rallied behind president. you were unpatriotic to vote against the rpeubs. war was ramping up against iraq.

But, per a link 333386 posted elsewhere, even those who welcome a switch think that ship has sailed.
Wilder said on CNN that it had long been his view that Obama, as suggested by Sarah Palin on Tuesday, should dump Biden and adopt Hillary Clinton as his vice-presidential running mate.
'If Hillary were on that ticket today based on the job she’s done as Secretary of State, I think that would be a clearer advantage the president would be seeing.
'It’s not going to happen. It’s too late. I think she’ll be getting herself together for 2016. But that doesn’t help the president today. What the president need to do it disassociate himself from trying to show anybody that division is what this administration is about as some may have said, "cool it, back up".'
Hilary has a better shot with a clean slate, instead of trying to save Obama from his own bungling and that of Biden. Let her (and Bill) do their obligatory cheerleading and, if Obama goes down in flames, the Dems fall in line right behind her for 2016 with no baggage.
