What size pins are you using? With a 1-1/2" pin, buried to the hub, this should never happen (unless you are way too fat  ;D).

no it wasnt the size of the pin ...
it was the angle of entry
into the thigh it was as if i went parallel to the muscle and never actually went into it

 ???

Were you trying to inject at an angle?  Most of the time you can go perpendicular to the surface.

yeah it was perpendicular...outer thigh a little too far out il be more careful next time....garra make sure you feel it peircing the muscle and i didnt...i was just happy to find a spot that wasnt so tuff to get into...but now its a lump...itll probably go down in a few days but its made the whole area around the site a wee bit painful...
so long as it all gets absorbed i aint fussin.

Jesus......... ::)

You need to go perpendicular, nugga!

90 degrees.......

Why do you kid do stupid shit like this?

1.5" needle buried to the hilt perpendicular in your delt or quad will hit muscle every time.........

START RUBBING THAT LUMP OR ELSE YOU COULD BE IN TROUBLE.

like what troubel mate ,as i get my shot by a DOC and i always get the lump and it stays for 2 days ...
so that means he shoots me in my fat toissue ,so doesit mean that  my shot was useless?

It's just trapped and inflamed, it will most likely go away.

You need to inject deeper. 1" pretty much everywhere 1.5" in the glutes...

sigh, I remember when I could reach my glutes..  haha

Here's the problem; if you inject too shallow it's often hard to tell what's an abscess and what is just trapped. If you start injecting deeper you'll only get large lumps if their is an infection.

You're probably fine, but taking some antibiotics wouldn't hurt.

There's no way you couldn't tell if it was an abscess.

Impossible.

The swelling, heat, raw swollen area......

Massage the area intermittently.  It should go away within a few days or so.

On that point, I think it's a good idea to deeply massage any injection site for a minute or so after you pin.

Dougie......I'd advise against that.

Buildup of scar tissue and calcium deposits from injecting in the same area will only make it a hard, thick lump over time.

Rotate your site injections........that's the smart way to do it.
