Haha yes - Clinton benefited from an ongoing housing bubble in addition to the dot com and telecom bubbles as well as the so-called peace dividend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_dividend). Also, with the help of Congressional Republicans, he cut spending as a percent of GDP to a historic low of 18% and cut the capital gains tax near the end of his term.
Somehow, that gives him legitimacy when supporting another Democrat (who would've figured?!? ::)) in a totally different scenario.

Second, it doesn't make sense because taxing small businesses (who employ others) only means they have less money to pay employees and spend in the economy.
You don't encourage prosperity by punishing those who achieve it!

You need to google "Clinton Budget Surplus Myth" because you don't have an understanding of the issues at all.
The other thing your worthless graphic doesn't show is how Clinton gutted the military, weakened the country, and cost soldiers their lives....just so he could claim a budget surplus.

And, in 1994, the Democrats got SLAUGHTERED in the midterms. Clinton had a GOP congress for 75% of his presidency and had to move to the center to save his presidency.
He passed welfare reform (kicking and screaming). He signed the Defense of Marriage Act (for which the current VP voted).
Why is it that, in a race involving the current president, the Dems keep singing the praises of a PAST president?

Thats not how it works...correlation does not equal causation. If anything, despite being a conservative I favor raising taxes on the richest 1%, especially the richest 0.1%.
