Democrats Host Radical Muslims at Charlotte
wnd.com ^ | 25/08/12 | JACK MINOR

The Democratic Party is sanctioning a Muslim prayer event in conjunction with its nominating convention in Charlotte that will feature a radical Islamic leader who has called for the overthrow of the “filthy” U.S. government and establishment of Islamic law.
...
The Washington Times reported the DNC lists the Muslim event as an “official function” and claims that the Islamic leaders of the program are typical of the DNC community.
The event is expected to draw up to 20,000 Muslims and will include a Friday Jumah prayer ritual and an issues conference. A letter posted on BIMA’s website says its purpose is to “address the concerns and issues that are challenging to the American Muslim Community in the 21st century.” The letter calls on Muslims to stand up and “repel the outright injustices being perpetuated against the American Muslim Community.”

Total BS about Dolan. Snopes is not credible in the least bit. The RATS only included Dolan after they found out he was giving a prayer a the RNC.
Considering how That ghetto communist traitor pofs Obama lied to the face of Dolan, this was seen as adding to injury.

ok 33333 ::)
ok what?
Snopes is wrong on this and kneepadding obama.
Obama lied to Dolan's face about the church exemption and went back on his word after being dominated by his criminal wife and Jarrett.
Obama then became pissed off when Dolan went public w RATbama's lies and deceptions and they originally did not invite Dolan.
Dolan then made RATbama look even worse by inviting him to the Alfred E Smith dinner despite the lies and bullshit from RATbama.
Once the RATS found out that Dolan was giving the prayer at the RNC they had to include him.

Democrats encounter bumps on the road to Charlotte
AP (Orange County Register) ^ | 8/31/2012 | GARY D. ROBERTSON
Posted on September 1, 2012 4:34:04 AM EDT by South40
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — When Democrats from around the country gather next week in Charlotte to nominate President Barack Obama for a second term, some may not feel completely at home despite the Southern hospitality. While the party was eager last year to pick a convention city that would help it expand its foothold in the New South, the selection of Charlotte has been a source of consternation among key constituencies and uncertainty among Democratic strategists.
Gay rights activists, for example, plan to protest for same-sex marriage in a state where North Carolina voters easily passed a constitutional amendment banning it.
Members of another key Democratic group, organized labor, intend to picket, too, in part because union leaders are unhappy Democrats picked a state long viewed as hostile to them.
Even North Carolina Democrats have found the state to be cooler lately, with Republicans winning control of the state legislature in 2010 and considered favorites to capture the governor's mansion this year.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Occupy Charlotte protesters reopened their uptown encampment late Friday night at Marshall Park, a site where they expect hundreds to camp, demonstrate and sleep during the Democratic National Convention.
**SNIP**
“There’s been some conversation with the city,” said Scottie Wingfield, an organizer with Occupy Charlotte. “We said we wanted to be in a public space. This is traditionally a park where people have met to protest.”

DNC Erecting Creepy Giant Obama Sculpture

Forget the marble pillars, this time there will be a giant 16-foot sculpture of Obama made out of 15.5 tons of sand at the Democratic National Convention. Building a giant sand sculpture of a living leader might be considered a bit tacky with its worshipful implications, but building one during a hurricane in South Carolina is in particularly bad taste.
But if nothing else, at least Obama has found one “Shovel Ready Project”. And this isn’t even the creepiest giant Obama sand sculpture ever made. The winner of that particular competition is still Sudarsan Pattnaik with this nightmare made out of sand.

What exactly was BS about that post?
The Dems are running on a gay "marriage" platform, in a state that passed a marriage amendment just four months ago. To top it all off, their keynote speaker signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law, which was easily passed by the House and Senate (including the current VP).
The labor unions (notwithstanding Obama leaving them, high and dry in Wisconsin) will be there. But, NC is a right-to-work state, if I'm not mistaken.

Now, the DNC is guaranteeing that they'll fill Bank of America stadium on Thursday. Unless they move the Bucs-Panthers game to Charlotte on the 6th, I don't see that happening.
Even if they do, why do I have the feeling the Dems will be in the red, as they may have to give away a lot more than just free tickets to get butts in those seats?

The marchers – representing the unemployed, undocumented immigrants, gay rights activists and many others – stretched the length of a city block. About 800 people joined the march, police estimated.
Some protesters lamented the lower-than-expected turnout.
“Why aren’t there more young people?” asked Richard Conely.
The 61-year-old Atlanta resident, who was in town to show solidarity and take photographs, contrasted the gathering with protests he remembered from the 60s.
**SNIP**
Among the signs waved by demonstrators: “Tax the Banksters. End plutocracy,” “Bust up the Banks” and “I came for the police brutality.”

Forward: A Look Ahead to the DNC
Townhall.com ^ | September 2, 2012 | John Hawkins
Posted on September 2, 2012 2:53:57 PM EDT by Kaslin
The Republican convention has ended, and it was a rousing success. We know this because of the amount of venom spewed on MSNBC. On the Chris Matthews Flying-Spittle Meter, it rated at least an 11 out of 10.
In a desperate attempt to distract from the positive vibe coming from Republicans in Tampa, Matthews, who I’m convinced is Charlie Brown and Lucy Van Pelt’s illegitimate child, went from having a “thrill” running up his leg four years ago to having something running down it last week.
He, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz and Al Sharpton flung the race card so freely and wildly you’d swear they were the featured acts at a tweaking meth-head magic show. The “whitewashing” of the speaker roster by MSNBC, refusing to show any speaker of color the first two days while complaining about a lack of diversity, will be taught in universities of future despotic dictatorships as how best to ignore reality and stick to your propaganda.
The reaction to Clint Eastwood’s genius mocking of our failed president was nothing short of Bagdad Bob-ian in its earnest pitifulness. (Here’s my take on that.)
But MSNBC is not about converting rational people to a way of thinking. It is about making sure people who subscribe to its special brand of willful ignorance don’t stray from the herd. Much of what you see on MSNBC is designed to ensure its drones don’t hop on the underground railroad – not to conservative media, but to the original source material – and risk thinking for themselves. They watch what happens and tell you what to think so you don’t have to. It’s a time-saver.
It’s also a caring agenda, really, since people shouldn’t work without the proper tools and thinking…You can finish that one yourself.
But this week it’s the Democrats’ turn.
Democrats, progressives, liberals and whatever the remaining mass of un-showered leftist mutant rabble are calling themselves this week will gather in Charlotte to re-nominate Barack Obama as their candidate for president.
What will we see on the stage at Time-Warner Arena and Bank of Panther Stadium?
My prediction: A tribute to parasites, anger and hate with a top-screwed-off salt shaker dash of race-baiting.
President Obama and Congressional Democrats’ legislative record will be the redheaded stepchild of the 3-day convention that easily could be renamed “Pretend the Last Four Years Didn’t Happen-stock.”
Its roster of speakers will consist of an endless stream of self-imposed victims and government parasite freaks that would make P.T. Barnum blush. And those are just the Congressional Democrats. The real mutant parade starts when every prominent abortionist in America gets her – and we use the term loosely here – 20 minutes at the mic and climaxes with Sandra Fluke.
Democrats hold up Fluke as an example of the strong, independent, modern woman who has replaced her societally imposed need for a man with government. You’ve come a long way baby…unfortunately you went a long way in the wrong direction.
The party of “Keep Your Laws Off My Body” will celebrate government takeover of health care. The party of “Keep Your Laws Out Of My Bedroom” will cheer government mandating contraception. The party of “We Are Our Brother’s Keeper” will re-nominate a multi-millionaire who has not sent his dirt-poor brother one penny to help with his own nephew’s medical bills.
They will do all of this without any sense of irony or shame at their hypocrisy.
And the media, led by the bobble-headed quartet on MSNBC, will cheer the courage, promise and vision of a party whose overriding desire is to encourage people to have faith not in themselves but in government. They will cheer a philosophy of defeatism designed to squelch aspiration and celebrate envy.
“Yes We Can” has become “It’s Someone Else’s Fault.” The only mention of a budget will be attacks against Paul Ryan’s budget proposal. We won’t hear a word about why the Democrat-controlled Senate hasn’t bothered to pass one for nearly four years.
“Created or saved” will be held up as something to celebrate rather than the meaningless, conjured-out-of-nowhere measure to justify or obscure failure it is. The drinking-game word for the week will be “inherited.” Take a sip of alcohol every time you hear that word this week, and you’ll be dead … or at least an honorary Kennedy.
The Democrat Convention will be a “Twilight Zone” event. Thousands will pretend the last four years didn’t happen, last week’s positive, forward-looking message from the RNC was, in fact, racist code and the authentically powerful, influential black, Hispanic and women speakers who took to the podium in Tampa didn’t exist.
They will celebrate President Obama’s meaningless campaign slogan: “Forward.” But outside the convention hall in Real America, voters are beginning think we’ve gone about as far forward as we can down the dead-end street of one of history’s spectacularly failed philosophies. They’ve begun to think in terms of turning things around, of getting back to work. They’ll hear a lot of gauzy talk about the future, but they will get exactly zero look at the reality of what going “forward” down Obama Avenue has meant over the last four years. They will get spin, lies and enough smoke blown up where the sun doesn’t shine that they’ll run risk of getting colon cancer.
It won’t all be sad. After all, the Democrats have a world-class comedian coming to their convention. What time is Joe Biden’s speech anyway?
FREAK SHOW Coming.

Dems bring in crowds by the busload to fill stadium for Obama speech.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – College students from across North Carolina will arrive in Charlotte by the busload. Same with members of predominantly black churches in neighboring South Carolina.
Their goal: help fill a 74,000-seat outdoor stadium to capacity when President Obama accepts the Democratic nomination Thursday night.
Anything short of a full house on the final night of the Democratic Party's national convention will be instant fodder for Republicans eager to use empty seats as symbols of waning voter enthusiasm for Obama.

Democratic Convention having 'Empty Chair' Problem
Tea Party Tribune ^ | 2012-09-03 13:50:06 | mrcurmudgeon
Posted on September 3, 2012 5:06:44 PM EDT by morethanright
By Mr. Curmudgeon:
Hope and Change Part II is having a hard time finding an audience. According to the Associated Press, "Democrats have been fretting for months over whether the president can draw a capacity crowd at Bank of America Stadium. Polls show voter enthusiasm is down, as are Obama's crowds for his battleground state campaign rallies." As are his approval ratings ... now at a dismal 43% ... they forgot to mention.
In other words "Empty Chair Day" appears to be affecting the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has been extended through to November 6 - at which time the swivel chair in the Oval Office will be emptied ... by the American people.
AP goes on to say that convention delegates make up only a third of the audience attending the gathering of left-wing contortionists scheduled to perform at Cirque du Charlotte. Democratic carnival barkers will be forced to scour every bar, strip club and mental institution to fill convention seats in time to catch the president's act, where he'll be forced to top his 2008 convention speech.
You remember that humdinger don't you? It was at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado, and Obama told convention delegates that his nomination "was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal."
Delegates were at a distinct disadvantage being they were 5,280-feet above sea level ... where the oxygen is thin. Add to this the fact they were most likely liquored up - as is the case at most conventions. "Alcoholic drinks pack more of a wallop than at sea level," warns the Denver visitor's bureau, "It is recommended that you go easy on the alcohol in the mountains and in Denver, as its effects will feel stronger here."
Charlotte is a mere 751 feet above sea level. And the reality of the last four years under Obama has had a profound and sobering effect on the nation.
Lonnie Randolph, president of the South Carolina chapter of the NAACP, told the AP he believes the convention's freak-show atmosphere will draw the curious to the big tent, "How often does this happen this close to South Carolina?" asked Randolph.
And who knows, watching a Democratic carnival geek bite the head off a chicken might help take our minds off high unemployment and rising food and gas prices ... for a while.
So, step right up, ladies and gentlemen, pull up an Empty Chair, for the show is about to begin!

Bedbugs an increasing concern at DNC hotels
Charlotte seeing an uptick in pest reports
By David Hill
The Washington Times
Monday, September 3, 2012
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — You think incumbent politicians are hard to get rid of? Try bedbugs.
The blood-sucking insects have made a resurgence in recent years, including reports of them at nine of the hotels being used for Democrats' nominating convention this week in Charlotte.
Some convention-goers were fearful in the run-up to the convention, and state officials and exterminators said bedbug reports have been on the uptick in and around the Queen City.
But county health officials say they have taken precautions to make sure the pests aren't waiting in hotel rooms to go home with guests as unwanted souvenirs.
"We did inspect all of the hotels and we do respond to complaints," said Stephen Graham, an environmental supervisor for the Mecklenburg County Health Department. "We're required to inspect them once a year, and we inspected them all after the start of the new fiscal year [July 1]."
The rise in the pest's activity has led to the advent of websites such as BedBugReports.com and BedBugRegistry.com, where hotel-goers can report their bad experiences in hopes of warning other travelers.
A search of BedBugRegistry.com brings up more than 30 Charlotte-area hotels where visitors have reported bedbugs, including nine hotels that will host at least 10 of the state delegations attending this week's convention.
Some of the hotels — such as the DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte Airport hotel, which will host the Connecticut delegation — have had a single report more than a year ago. But the Drury Inn & Suites Northlake, which will house Ohio delegates, had a report from an anonymous Internet user claiming there were "numerous bugs" during a stay in April after several pest-free visits.
The Charlotte-Center City Holiday Inn, which will welcome the Illinois delegation, has been reported three times since March by Web users whose complaints included finding bugs "in clear sight" and ending up "covered in bites" after a one-night stay.
Of the hotels expected to host convention delegates, the most complaints were aimed at the Charlotte Marriott City Center, where five reports have been posted since July 2011.
Visitors reported finding bites days after their stays, and at least two said they ended up bringing bugs home.
Another said the hotel refused to provide reimbursement for a laundry bill after the visitor had to dry-clean clothes.
A person claiming to be hotel management posted a reply on the site.
"The Charlotte Marriott City Center maintains strict cleanliness standards, which includes constant monitoring and routine assessments of guestrooms and public space," the person wrote, adding that the hotel only refunds costs if a third-party inspector finds bedbugs. "We pride ourselves on providing quality conscientious attention to the property and guests."
Hotels contacted by The Washington Times about bedbug reports either referred calls to their corporate headquarters or didn't return messages.
Charlotte has a long way to go before its bedbug levels approach cities such as New York, Cincinnati and Washington, D.C., where recent infestations have made national news, but a study this year by pest control company Orkin shows activity there has been on the rise.
The survey, released in March, rated Charlotte as having the 33rd-most bedbug reports of any city in 2011. The list was topped by Cincinnati, Chicago and Detroit.
By contrast, the GOP's choice for its convention last week, Tampa, Fla., didn't make the list of the 50 most-infested cities.
Jung W. Kim, environmental senior specialist for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, said that bedbugs are on the rise, but about half of cases go unreported because victims don't react to bites.
Mr. Kim said upon checking into a hotel, guests should inspect their mattress, box spring and the back of their headboard for bedbug fecal matter in the form of tiny black dots.
He said guests should request a new room if they suspect bedbugs, and could take other steps such as keeping their luggage in the bathroom or putting washable items in the dryer immediately after returning home.
"You may get bites, but you're not going to bring any bedbugs to your home," he said. "As long as you don't bring bedbugs to your home, you should be fine."

Democrats set to move Obama's big speech from 74,000-seater outdoor stadium to 20,000-seater
Daily Mail ^ | 9/4/12 | Toby Harnden

Charlotte, North Carolina - Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’. The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled. Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged. Images of rows of empty seats at the stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, as Obama speaks on Thursday night would be politically disastrous

Exclusive: Democrats Drop "God" From Party Platform
Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform.
This is the paragraph that was in the 2008 platform:
“We need a government that stands up for the hopes, values, and interests of working people, and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential.”
Now the words “God-given” have been removed. The paragraph has been restructured to say this:
“We gather to reclaim the basic bargain that built the largest middle class and the most prosperous nation on Earth – the simple principle that in America, hard work should pay off, responsibility should be rewarded, and each one of us should be able to go as far as our talent and drive take us.”
The Brody File has calls into DNC to explain why God’s name has been dropped from the platform. Some critics will suggest that when you have planks in your platform that support abortion rights and gay marriage then it's no wonder that God's name would be dropped as well.
Delegates will vote on the platform on Tuesday.
There is one section on "faith" and here is what it says:
"Faith has always been a central part of the American story, and it has been a driving force of progress and justice throughout our history. We know that our nation, our communities, and our lives are made vastly stronger and richer by faith and the countless acts of justice and mercy it inspires. Faith- based organizations will always be critical allies in meeting the challenges that face our nation and our world – from domestic and global poverty, to climate change and human trafficking. People of faith and religious organizations do amazing work in communities across this country and the world, and we believe in lifting up and valuing that good work, and finding ways to support it where possible. We believe in constitutionally sound, evidence-based partnerships with faith-based and other non-profit organizations to serve those in need and advance our shared interests. There is no conflict between supporting faith-based institutions and respecting our Constitution, and a full commitment to both principles is essential for the continued flourishing of both faith and country."

Red Carpet for Solyndra Figure at Democratic Convention
By BRIAN ROSS and MATTHEW MOSK
Sept. 4, 2012 —
abcnews.go.com
Energy Official Who Pushed for Solyndra Loan Gets VIP Tour
The Obama campaign rolled out the red carpet this week for a former top Energy Department official who was at the center of the ill-fated government loan to Solyndra, a California solar panel firm that wound up in bankruptcy.
Steven J. Spinner joined other top fundraisers for a VIP tour of the Democratic National Convention floor in Charlotte Monday evening, posing and waving for a photographer while standing behind the podium. When he saw ABC News cameras, however, he ran for the exit.
WATCH World News with Diane Sawyer Tonight for More on Spinner and the DNC.
Spinner was last in the headlines in October, when emails surfaced showing he had pushed for the Solyndra loan from his post in the Energy Department, apparently in an effort to score the loan as a political victory for President Obama.
READ the Original Blotter Story About Spinner's Emails
"How hard is this? What is he waiting for?" Spinner wrote in one of them. "I have OVP [the Office of the Vice President] and WH [the White House] breathing down my neck on this."
The fast-tracked Solyndra loan became the showpiece of the Obama administration's Green Energy loan program -- a plan to give a jolt of federal aid to firms developing new forms of alternative energy. Solyndra, the program's inaugural loan recipient, received $535 million.
INTERACTIVE: Meet the 2012 Campaign Superdonors
But it fast became a symbol for Obama's Republican opponents, who have characterized the loan as a boondoggle. The company's bankruptcy led to a lengthy investigation by the Republican-led House Energy and Commerce Committee, which argued that the administration failed to heed warnings from budget analysts who believed the company was a bad bet.
READ All ABC News DNC Coverage on Our Democratic Convention Page.
White House officials have called the House investigation a waste of taxpayer money, noting that Republicans never uncovered any evidence to suggest the loan was granted as a result of political influence.
This week, Spinner has been attending a number of events organized for the campaign's top donors -- members of the National Finance Committee. He is sporting a badge that identifies him as a "Finance Guest."
He appears also to be a top donor to the convention's host committee, which accepts up to $100,000 from individuals to help offset the cost of the three-day Charlotte event. The host committee organized the podium tour that Spinner attended.
ABC News made repeated attempts to interview Spinner as the Solyndra saga unfolded, and he declined. When he was approached by ABC News on the convention floor Monday, he bolted for an exit.
A DNC employee blocked ABC News reporters from following Spinner as he broke into a run.
"You can't follow people," the aide said, as he held up his arms to keep the camera from filming Spinner as he left the venue.
Neither the Obama campaign nor the White House responded to requests for comment about Spinner.
This is not Spinner's first foray into fundraising for Obama.
Spinner was awarded his high-ranking post with the Energy Department after raising more than $500,000 for Obama's 2008 campaign, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.
After taking the job, Spinner had to sign a waiver saying he would not get involved in deliberations involving Solyndra, because his wife's law firm represented the company in certain legal matters. Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters that Spinner "had no connection to overseeing the loan guarantee program."Spinner's wife also pledged not to take proceeds from her firm's work with companies that had applied for loans, and a spokesperson for Allison Spinner's firm said she had not been involved in any Solyndra business.
But when the White House turned over internal emails to Congress, the records showed that Steve Spinner figured prominently into the Energy Department's efforts to promote the loan politically. When the loan was set to be announced, he pushed for a "big event" with "golden shovels, bulldozers, hardhats, etc.," according to one email he wrote.
He also corresponded with career Department of Energy loan officials who were making the final decisions on the Solyndra loan. In one instance, he wrote, "Hopefully, this might spur [the Office of Management and Budget] a little faster to help the closing."

CHARLOTTE,N.C. — Dozens of protesters on Tuesday shut down an intersection blocks from the Democratic National Convention here, drawing hundreds of police officers and curious onlookers as they chanted against corporate greed, drone missiles and all manner of political woes.
Officers armed with wooden bats, paintball guns and plastic handcuffs lined the perimeter of East Stonewall Street and South Caldwell Street while cheers of “Free Manning, Arrest Barack” and “You are the army of the rich” rose from men and women sitting and standing in the road. Bradley Manning is the Army private accused of leaking vast archives of classified U.S. documents to the Wikileaks whistleblower website in 2010.
Ed Hunt, a 59-year-old veteran from Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., said the ultimate goal for the demonstrators was that convention-goers see that “this is happening, that we have the right to protest.”
“There’s so much to change,” he added. “There’s no reason for anybody to be separated.”
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Rodney Monroe said that what the protesters were doing was illegal, but police were “not in any rush to do anything” as the protesters were just peacefully occupying the intersection. Many of the streets around the convention’s main site are already sealed off from most traffic.

Down-market motels in Charlotte jack up rates during DNC, forcing homeless families into the streets and emergency shelters

Steven Cherry at a loading dock where he and his wife Belinda Cherry slept when they were homeless.
Eking out an existence is precisely what Belinda Cherry, 41, says she and her husband were doing — until the Dems came to town.
With his salary as a part-time dishwasher, they had been able to afford a room at the Arlington Suites on South Tryon St., the same motel where Ramsey was bunking down.
But after the hotel ratcheted up its rates, Cherry and her husband were left sleeping atop a cement loading dock outside an abandoned brick building.
“I’m really pissed off,” said Cherry. “We were just now getting on our feet.”

EPIC DNC FAIL: Reports Thousands of Delegates, Media Locked Out of Democrat Convention Tonight
Wednesday, September 5, 2012 | Kristinn
Posted on September 5, 2012 9:35:49 PM EDT by kristinn
The Democratic National Convention has descended in to chaos today both inside and outside the Time Warner arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Following the debacle earlier today of the ramming through over the loud objections of delegates of pro-God, pro-Israel language to the platform, fire marshalls have locked down the arena leaving a reported thousands of credentialed delegates and reporters stranded outside.
Reporters on Twitter are sending out on scene reports and photographs with commentary such as "mayhem", "fail" and "farce".
"Democratic convention descending into farce. After "booing God" debacle, delegates, and media locked out of the convention by fire marshals" , Nico Hines, Times of London.
"Complete nightmare for the DNC. Thousands of delegates and media stuck outside. Fire marshals have closed the building. #DNCFAIL", Matt Spence, Times of London.

DNC Delegate’s Freak Death Threat: ‘Mitt Romney… I Would Like To Kill Him!’
The Blaze ^ | Sept. 5, 2012 | Benny Johnson
Posted on September 5, 2012 10:06:52 PM EDT by Free ThinkerNY
During the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, TheBlaze took to Time Warner Cable Arena to speak with delegates about the most pressing issues of our time. Most of those interviewed were good sports, answering questions about the trajectory of the country under Obama, the Affordable Care Act and even Socialism.
One of our conversations took an unexpected turn, however, when we asked New York delegate Julia Rodriguez about her views on the direction of the country. Rodriguez promptly shouted that she would, in fact, like to “kill” Mitt Romney.

Obama breaks promise to teen campaign volunteers by uninviting them to his speech
ABC News reports:
A pair of teenagers volunteered for 18 hours on the Obama campaign this summer to earn their golden tickets to President Obama’s big speech at the Bank of America stadium Thursday night.
Today Madeline Frank, 16, and her brother Koby, 14, were told they’ve been disinvited and their tickets are no longer valid because the location of Obama’s speech was moved from the 73,000 seat open air Bank of America Stadium to the smaller TimeWarner Cable Arena, which can hold about 21,000. The move was made because of a forecast of rain and thunderstorms.
“I’ve been looking forward to this for a really long time,” Madeline Frank of Charlotte, N.C., said today. “I am just feeling really let down and like bummed. It was kind of my dream to see him speak, so definitely really sad.”
Although she isn’t old enough to vote, Madeline knocked on doors and canvassed her neighborhood for nine hours so she could see the president when he came to her hometown Thursday because she wanted to be part of the excitement in her city. The Obama campaign’s “9-3-1″ plan offered volunteers one ticket to Thursday’s event in exchange for giving nine hours of their time over three days.
This is absolutely, completely pathetic on Obama’s part. But it’s not a surprise.
I mean – it’s not a surprise to me. It is a surprise to these volunteers, because apparently they hadn’t been aware of the huge number of other promises that Obama had broken.
SUCKERS!!!!

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Rows of enthusiastic vendors hawking Obama buttons, tote bags, puppets, T-shirts and other memorabilia seem to be doing brisk business beside the Charlotte Convention Center, where thousands of delegates and members of the media have descended for the three-day Democratic National Convention. But just across the street, and behind a row of low metal barricades, a cluster of unhappy vendors—many of whom traveled hundreds of miles to attend the convention and are ardent Obama supporters—say they paid thousands of dollars to rent stalls that were placed in an out-of-the-way, unmarked parking lot where they are steadily losing money.
On Wednesday, news spread around the lot that President Barack Obama's Thursday night speech will no longer take place in the planned outdoor stadium, pushing convention attendees even farther away from the vendors.
"We feel forgotten," said Marcy Nation of Georgia, who has a stall selling Obama bumper stickers and other memorabilia in the lot. Nation is directing 10 percent of her proceeds to the Obama campaign. Several vendors who were originally given spots around Nation have picked up and moved on altogether, giving the lot an abandoned feeling. Nation said she expected the DNC host committee to put up large signs directing foot traffic to the lot, and said the street barriers make it hard for passers-by to cross over from the convention center. "They don't know we're here," she said.
The DNC has not yet responded to Yahoo News' requests for comment about the vendors' complaints. In an interview with The Charlotte Observer, a spokeswoman for the host committee said the hefty fees for tent stalls were needed to cover the cost of renting the parking lot for the week.
"I am sure President Obama [would] be disappointed to know that small businesses were being taken advantage of," said Adrian Stowe, who ended up leaving his $3,000 rented stall to sell official DNC convention T-shirts across the street, closer to the foot traffic. On that side of the street, vendor licenses cost just $200 because there are no tent stalls. Vendors either carry their goods or set up their own tables. Stowe, a Charlotte business owner, said fewer than 100 people wandered into the lot on Tuesday. "We're losing major money. I've got bins full of product," he said.
"There's no traffic, no exposure," said a vendor named Debrah, who didn't want to give her full name because she's a former Obama campaign staffer in Ohio. Debrah's team paid about $3,000 to rent a tent in the parking lot, where they've set up a stall selling "Hope" buttons, Obama T-shirts and Obama family tote bags. "The feeling is that the [DNC host committee] took our money and put us in a parking lot and didn't offer us any support," she said. Debrah, like Stowe and Nation, says she doesn't blame President Obama or his campaign for the situation, but that many vendors do. "Unfortunately, for most of the vendors it's been a bad experience and they're holding it against Obama."
One such vendor is Gwendolyn Clarke, who traveled from New York with her son and daughter's bottled water business, called NAL Water. The South Carolina water goes for $3 a bottle, but the Clarke family quickly marked that down to $1 after an insurance company called Humana began giving away free bottled water. The Clarkes maintain the practice of giving away items is against the rules they agreed to
"I'm not listening to the rhetoric anymore. You can't treat small businesses like that because we are the backbone of the country," said Clarke, who volunteers for Obama's campaign in New York. Clarke says she will "absolutely not" vote for Obama in November, and will instead support Mitt Romney.
While Clarke was explaining her troubles, a potential customer walked by and asked, "Are you giving away free water?" Clarke told her no, and the customer ended up buying a bottle for the reduced price of $1. It's one of fewer than 20 bottles the family has sold since Tuesday.

He's something special. It's like the political/rhetorical equivalent of watching Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe Dimaggio, Ted Williams, and Willie Mays rolled into one. Seriously, he's sui generis. Obama has talent; Clinton possesses genius. Seriously. And remember how he was forsaken by much of the black voting bloc during Hilary's run for the nomination? Remember that piece of shit, Carol Moseley Braun?
Unfortunately for the Dems, Bubba ain't the ticket; Obama is. And when P.I.P's trance wears off completely, that reality will hit him and others in the face.
Plus, Clinton's presence (despite his statement) COMPLETELY TORPEDOES the "Blame Bush" mantra that Obama and his liberal kneepadder continue to spew.
Clinton went far left; the Dems got creamed in '94 midterms; he wised up, went to the center, hijacked some GOP ideas and sprinkle some liberalism on them and got re-elected.
But, you won't find ONE Democrat in that arena, giving props to the GOP Congress (especially one Newt Gingrich) for their hand in it. ALL the praise goes to Clinton.
If all the praise goes to Clinton for his success; then all the failure of the last four years goes on OBAMA, especially since the Dems ignored their role in the disaster, during the last two years of the Bush administration when they ran Congress.
-
I think what was most powerful about President Bill Clinton touting President Obama & VP Joe Biden tonight was last week the Republicans did not and/or could not let President George W. Bush do the same for Gov Mitt Romney & Congressman Paul Ryan!
Tonight those independents who watch the convention with me were for the most part, persuaded by President Clinton. And I don't think the jobs report on Friday will change what impact President Clinton's speech had on independents because he told the story in a way that the Dems have not been able to articulate. Many left my house with a clear choice for re-electing President Obama the others were inspired but still think President Obama policies are not right for America's financial future; that said, they are still on the fence and will decide after the debates.
All in all a good night with very good discussions from all in attendance and more importantly, without the mindless mud slinging that goes on here at getbig.

Do you really believe that people are that naive? Clinton gives a speech and everyone is just going to forget about how bad the economy is? If that is the case we may as well pack it in now...............
Lets all vote for President Obama since the dude who lied under oath, failed to kill UBL when he had the chance and spent tax payer funded time getting blow jobs from an intern in an alcove next to the oval office gave a speech the libs liked.
Anyone with a shred of dignity would have slunk away years ago.

The same person who when he was president left the economy in a bad state as well. Tech bubble burst, 40% drop in the stock market and over 1 million jobs lost in his final year of presidency. Funny how a lot of people forget those things about the Clinton presidency. Yet, they don't forget about the last 2 years of Bush's presidency, in which both houses were under Democratic control, and still blame him till this very day.

Steelworker Featured at DNC Didn’t Work for Bain
The Democratic National Convention on Wednesday featured three speakers billed as “former employees of companies controlled by Bain Capital.”
They each told compelling stories about jobs lost, allegedly because of the actions of Bain under Romney’s leadership.
But it turns out one of those employees never actually worked for a company controlled by Bain Capital.
David Foster was supposedly one of those former employees on the convention schedule. He told the story about 750 steelworkers who lost their jobs when the Bain-controlled company GST steel filed for bankruptcy in the early 1990s.
“In 2001, with GST bankrupt and Romney still CEO of Bain, I stood in front of hundreds of steelworkers in their 50s and 60s, and retirees in their 70s and 80s, and told them Romney and Bain had broken their promises. Jobs, vacation pay, severance, health insurance and pension benefits that were promised — they were all gone,” he said. Read his full speech here
Watch our ABC News/Yahoo News Convention Show LIVE tonight, 7-11:30 PM HERE.
But Foster, according to a former spokesman for GST Steel, never actually worked for the company.
“David Foster was never an employee of GST Steel’s Kansas City plant. He was employed by the United Steelworkers of America as their regional union director to represent GST Steel, but was not employed at our facility,” according to BC Huselton, who was head of HR at GST.
Instead, Foster was a union organizer, who negotiated for workers that did work for the company.
Foster explained in his remarks that he was an organizer during his dealings with GST Steel. But it is not clear from the remarks that he never worked for a company controlled by Bain.
Foster was prominently featured in an Obama campaign video, “Romney economics,” where he is identified as lead negotiator for workers at GST Steel. In the video he explains that Bain executives took bonuses even as the company flailed.
Politifact rated that Obama video “mostly true.” Read their assessment.
An Obama campaign TV ad based on the story of a GST worker who suggests that his wife’s death from cancer years later was due in part to losing health insurance when the plant closed got a “false” from Politifact and drew criticism for being misleading.
But the Romney campaign has released its own version of what happened at GST Steel. The video features a former executive, Huselton, who says that Bain’s actions actually saved the company.
“There’s this vampire story that Bain comes in and shows it’s teeth and sucks the blood out of the operation,” says Huselton. “It’s really quite the opposite. We went out looking for a blood donor. Bain came in, and the way I look at it actually gave us a blood transfusion.”
Watch the Romney campaign video here.

do your homework don't just listen to what rush tells you :D :D :D :D
I went to that site, hours ago, before I made that post. It was 30% during the 7, 8, and 9 o'clock hours. From 10pm onward.....all zeros.
Besides, earlier this week, the Dems said they were holding this in Bank of America Stadium, "rain or shine".
Plus, the same site says "Expect Thunderstorms to end at 9:45 pm". Obama's speech is after 10. And, it's not as if he hasn't made speeches in the rain before.

No sign of convention bounce for Obama: Reuters/Ipsos poll

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina | Fri Sep 7, 2012 12:13am IST
(Reuters) - So far, U.S. President Barack Obama has not received much of a bounce yet in popular support from the Democratic National Convention, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found on Thursday.
The latest daily tracking poll found Republican Mitt Romney still clinging to a narrow lead of 45 percent to Obama's 44 percent among likely voters. Romney had led by 46 percent to 44 percent in Wednesday's poll.
"We're not seeing a sort of glimmer, at this point, of a bump," said Ipsos pollster Julia Clark.
The online survey included questions to voters on Wednesday before former President Bill Clinton's well-received speech on the convention floor, so Clinton's influence has not yet been taken into account.
Obama's wife, Michelle Obama, delivered an electrifying speech on Tuesday, and those polled for the Thursday poll would have had the chance to have heard her.

This afternoon, Limbaugh claimed that the National Weather Service has said that ...
there is zero chance of precipitation in Charlotte today. He went on to splutter, "Not 10 percent, not 5 percent, but ZERO percent!"

Planned Parenthood Handing Out Condoms At DNC With Anti-Romney Ryan Message On Them
September 5, 2012
A move that I believe to be one of the lowest political advertisements of all time is taking place at the Democratic National Convention.
Yesterday, Planned Parenthood hosted a rally event outside the location for the convention. They paraded politicians and celebrities who support the liberal women’s health agenda which includes support for murdering unborn children and handing out contraceptives to every person who wants one, not matter what age they are. Obama’s contraception poster girl Sandra Fluke was there as was Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, New Jersey and actress Aisha Tyler.
But perhaps the biggest attraction at the event where the bright pink packages of condoms that were being handed out to all. On the front of the condom package was the message:
“Protect Yourself From Romney & Ryan In This Election.
WomenAreWatching.org”
On the inside of the cover it read:
“Learn The Facts About Romney & Ryan”
Then perhaps the most offensive statement of all was on the actual wrapping of the condom which read:
“PROPER ATTIRE Required for entry.”
When a campaign has to stoop to using something as personal and private as a condom to denigrate your opponent, it can only be seen as an act of desperation from a morally depraved group of individuals. It lowers the campaign to a level of debasement that has never before been reached in the annals of American politics. Its flagrant display reminds me of the moral debauchery that pervaded Ancient Rome, Sodom and Gomorrah just prior to their collapse and destruction.
It makes me wonder if there are any Democrats that still have a sense of decency, of family values and morals. I fear the answer is no and that if they retain power after the November election, heaven help us when God takes His wrath and judgment on our depraved nation.

Losing It in Charlotte
PJ Media ^ | September 7, 2012 | J. Christian Adams

Lee Atwater couldn’t have written a better script for the Democratic National Convention that just ended in Charlotte. The Charlotte fiasco was a less violent version of the fiasco in Chicago in 1968, except the lunacy was now inside the venue, not outside.
Tom Brokaw shares the story of how Hubert Humphrey lost the 1968 election after Americans watched television images of the young radicals in Grant Park scaling statues and flying the Viet Cong flag. At that moment, Americans fully appreciated the lawless direction that some wanted to take the country and saw Richard Nixon as the antidote.
The young radicals of 1968 have become the old radicals who now control the Democrat Party. They put on a convention this week characterized by incompetence, radicalism, and race.
President Obama’s lackluster speech was the least of the DNC’s problems. Convention week was plagued by all the drama and broken expectations of Waiting for Guffman. The empty powder-puff blue seats of Bank of America Stadium are the symbolic image of the lost hope from 2008. When it became clear those blue seats would dominate the coverage of Obama’s Thursday speech, the incompetent operatives at the DNC panicked. The DNC hastily arranged busloads of bodies from black churches for hundreds of miles to arrive in Charlotte to fill the empty seats.
But Guffman never arrived, and neither did President Obama at the stadium. Rain, you see, was in the forecast. Except it wasn’t. The Greek columns of 2008 are a long, disappointing bus ride home in 2012.
Then Julia Rodriguez, a credentialed convention delegate from New York (but waving a Puerto Rican flag and sporting a button seeking statehood), said on camera she “would like to kill” Mitt Romney. The unseemly radicals chanting in the Chicago park were now inside the hall in Charlotte.
The “Ride for Justice” bus from “No Papers, No Fear” rolled into Charlotte to keep the fiasco humming. This outfit is an illegal alien pressure group. Yes, in 2012, we now have open and well-funded organizations representing people committing crimes. In fact, the bus was full of illegal aliens openly touting their illegal status! Naturally, they were welcomed with open arms by the DNC because they are supporting President Obama’s lawless immigration policies. Local authorities arrested ten of them outside the convention for state crimes and turned them over to federal authorities, who then promptly released them.
Lawlessness has become policy. Instead of the radicals tearing Chicago apart, they now have the power to order the release of lawbreakers.
No fiasco is complete without Joe Biden. Even Biden’s dad, the Vice President told us, respected President Obama. Joseph Biden Sr. must have come to this conclusion on a trip to Springfield, Illinois to meet State Senator Obama prior to 2002 when Biden the elder died.
Charlotte also revealed the lie of the post-racial Obama Presidency. On the floor, delegates openly sported “Vote Black” buttons.
I was reminded of a Voting Rights Act case I tried in Mississippi where the United States actually put up nearly identical evidence to demonstrate the rotten racial intent of a Democrat operative named Ike Brown. “Keep Hope Alive, Vote Black in ’95,” was his message. That sentiment isn’t confined to the bowels of Mississippi anymore. Now some of the elite of the Democrat Party made the November election all about race. America, take careful note. (Of course this unapologetic racialism was no surprise to me or anyone else who has read my book Injustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department).
But booing God will be the image from the Charlotte fiasco that will last longer than all the rest. This week, America saw a new kind of Democrat party, one totally unmoored from the long cultural traditions of Democrats and Republicans alike.
The Charlotte screenplay borrowed from the Gospels, where delegates weren’t content to deny God’s return to the platform only once. Three times they yelled – “NO!! NO!!” – not me, never heard of the guy.
At least Peter felt ashamed after his three denials. I doubt very much the clowns captured on TV standing and yelling “NO” as loudly as they could feel any shame. And because Los Angles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa literally had the single vote and predetermined outcome scripted on his teleprompter, it makes you wonder who’s doing these rewrites.

Both the RNC and DNC have been SCRIPTED. Israel owns you and is your boss:
