I use Adidas Adistars, and I love them. They have a wooden sole, which I prefer because I tend to tilt my feet when I am benching.
-
I don't have them, but have read reviews from real weightlifters on them. The general consensus is that the heel and sole are a bit too flexible and cushiony compared to the higher end wood soled lifting shoes. It mainly shows itself on jerks and split lifts. Also a few don't like the reduced heel(about a 1/4" lower that other models), but admit it probably won't be a all around lifter.
I haven't seen anything bad from powerlifters on them.

That's what I was thinking for squatting. And I prefer wrestling shoes for deadlifting.

Is what I use now but for squats I need something else

New Balance Minimus = awesome.
-
Old school Pumas, pretty much like these. But really, anything that has a hard sole and feels good on your feet, should work.

He said if you deadlift or squat more then 400lbs, you should upgrade to a better shoe. So this shoe is useless to get biggers.

Lol,put some spikes on them and they look like golf shoes.

Never tried those or any other type "lifting" shoe, Usually workout barefooted or when getting more serious, in Olympic training (raised heel) real shoes/boots. Better for front squat cleans, snatches and squats themselves. And for all around total balance,
Did workout, for awhile, in Army Airborne jump boots. Couple of my high school friends got me a pair, when they were in the 101st. Pretty nice, actually, once broken in.. Though never did lace or zip them up all the way. This was like '92 or '93, so them must be better designed today.
-
since i started lifting barefooted i never wana wear a shoe ever again... i am interested in getting some vibrams.. yes they're weird.. but they make me curious to buy and try once and for all after hearing raving reviews of them

I saw a douchbag wearing these the other day when I was in the gym, I felt the urge to drop a 20kg wheel on his foot nearly impossible to resist.

Got to be careful with knee-high boots a confrontational person might take a devious pyramid shit in them.

I have these shoes, the heel doesnt feel overly raised. I use them mainly for squatting and they feel ssuper stable, i love to squat with them. I also use them for cleans, but i dont notice to much of a difference compared to my new balance minamilist shoes. I say for being inexpensive, worth every penny

They are my dad's go-to shoes. No matter what, he's wearing some brown Sperry's docksiders.
And they are quite fashionable with shorts and or jeans...(remember I'm from Annapolis).

Ha, mine too, I think he had at 4-5 pairs, that he'd swap out depending on his mood.
