Title: So I have a family member who is a mortician - he told me this
Post by: Stark on August 31, 2012, 12:25:42 PM
He's about 30 years in this business, said that years ago you had to put a human body into the freezer straight away, today you can leave a corps outside without a lot happing to it (unless its 30 + ouside) why?

Because of all the preservatives we eat on a daily basis.

BOOOM!!!

Agree. Human body starts to decay/putrefy almost immediately after death.

Sure. Look at Kevin Costner. He died in the early nineties and immediately began to stink.

Meh us being much cleaner than in the past is also part of it, remember that preservatives means mostly just salt, which shouldnt surprise no one. Ive had to cut salts out of my diet because the water retention has been hurtin my back :-X

Stiff competition in that business.

And I almost forgot...   the early worm gets the dead bird.

the process of decomposition begins in the human body within 72hrs post mortem...........there was a show on discovery channel called taboo, and they were showing the many steps that a dead body went through until the final phase of decomposition.......that shit was interesting........a dead human body laying outside, in a 80 degrees temperature, will turn into complete skeleton in less than a month.......wow
