Romney is playing it safe. He should be making bold - yet not desperate - moves.
Mccain's moves were bold, but they reeked of desperation. Palin pick was desperation, as was "I'm suspending my campaign".
Rather, Mittens should be appearing onstage Friday night with hank Williams Jr then eating lunch with Rudy at NYC the next morning. Then, Sunday church with nancy Reagan, and then Sunday night football high-fiving peyton then sitting with jerome bettis at the game - IN THE STANDS, not a luxury box. And every time, he should tell reporters "I need to get my message out - vote for a better america in november".
He's playing it safe - and unless obama has some major gaffe/scandal, I don't know that safe wins.

Either way, that is HORRIBLE NEWS for an incumbent president, less than three weeks out. Bush was up 3, at this time eight years ago.

I agree. There really isn't enough time left to "change" a lot of voters minds. As things draw to the finish line I'm pretty sure Romney will solidify his lead and take the presidency.
It will be close, that's for sure.

That's what BBer's call "peaking at the right time."
Let us hope that Mitt doesn't spill over and get a stomach virus.

It won't matter, if Obama shows up looking like Ken Jones.

This drum beating intended to demoralize each side on this board with various polls is retarded.
But mildly entertaining at times. :D

I know
333 and I went over this a couple of days ago
the "likely voter" tag is not necessarily more reliable than registered voters and perhaps even less reliable

Maybe they realize obama is going away and the economy can finally get the recovery we should have had that obama intentionally stopped.

LOL @ intentionally stopped
did you look at that GDP growth chart
btw - just to entertain your insanity for a momement....why would Obama WANT to stop the economy.
Would he do that to try to improve his chances of winning the election
hey, still time for him to drop out or get kicked off the ticket and replaced with Hilary right
