President Obama made the call; kill Osama bin Laden at all cost, no matter where in the world he was.

Mission Accomplished.

religion (all religion) is shit and poisons everything...

eliminate religion and people might start caring about each other

Unfortunate that they haven't punished the perpetrator of 9/11 yet!  hundreds of thousands of innocent people murdered and the person responsible is payed a huge income by the American taxpayer!  Makes the mind boggle

As Wayne Dyer said, "Be Christ-like, be Buddha-like"

if you eliminate religion, people will still find reasons to kill one another, whether it be race, ethnicity, women, nationality, drugs or greed. Man seems to find a way to kill or hate his brotherman. If man evolved past his own selfish needs, then and only then will things get better.

How quickly people and liberals forget what happened, and how to be aware and respect those around you.  Mass respect to the soliders who go and defend the USA from these events happening again.  Respect to those that try to understand the threats from these groups and how they view the USA.    No respect to those that do not understand and try to impose security, and misunderstanding to all of us (TSA at airports, and other officials who rant in the name of 'security'. )

And to all of those of passed away (from that day on 9-11 in which our lives were all changed, and others after award), it is a solemn day to reflect.

A close friend of mine had his uncle as one of the firefighters that died that day. I  was only 13 at the time, and still remember it vividly. Our teachers look like they saw a ghost when they heard what happened and kids were being pulled out of school left and right, we all had to gather in the church(catholic school) and they tried to explain something happened. I remember literally everything was cancelled that day, from my football practice to some 70 year old checkers league. Everything stopped that day, even though I was about 8 hours away in PA. RIP to everyone who died in the attacks and as a result of the attacks.

I am fucking disgusted with the filth liberals here trying to start anything in this thread, rather than mourning the loss of the people who died.

I was living in DC area at the time... after the pentagon was hit the city shutdown, all traffic was diverted out of the city that day.

For the next week, the military was all over the city controlling traffic, I remember seeing Hummers everywhere, on sidewalks, in the middle of roads.  My 20 minute commute to the university took 1 and a half hours that whole week.  You guys remember how everyone was on edge, no one had any idea what the hell was going on!

I remember I also traveled exactly one week after 9/11 from DC to Florida.  Right when the crew shut the doors to the plane, I remember the captain came out of the cock pit and addressed the passengers, he said something to the effect of "I know that everyone is very concerned about what has been happening, but I want to assure everyone that today you are all riding on the safest aircraft in America, we have been taking new security precautions and this is the first flight to see these new measures implemented"  - everyone applauded him, and we were on our way.

Was very sad the whole thing...  Really can't blame Americans for hating Arabs/Muslims after this!

Everyone has their own feelings but I disagree with this BigAch.  The Americans or anyone else who hates arabs or muslims because of 9/11 are ignorant bigots at best.  Anyone with half a brain can easily see that this act was done by a small terrorist group and the actions do not represent the muslim religion or arabs.

Also want to say 9/11 was very sad for me especially thinking about all the people trapped in the upper floors of the WTC towers.  Just beyond sad.  With that said I don't feel we should respond to hate and killing with more hate and killing and senseless invasions of other countries that really are no threat to us.  Just resulted in more deaths of our brave soldiers and civilians.

The Newseum (Museum of News in washington DC) has a whole section dedicated to the events of 9/11 really very emotional to walk through it, but good for people to see it so they can grasp how tragic the events really were.

I like peace as much as the next guy, but peace doesn’t just happen.  We do have to fight for it.  Iraq was an idiotic blunder and the US will pay the price for that for years, but the invasion of Afghanistan and routing the Taliban was a necessary response to 9/11.  Do you disagree with that?

Those images from 9/11 are horrific and remind me of when I lived in the Mid-Atlantic and New England, but out here in California I hardly ever hear anyone talk about 9/11 anymore.

More people probably die per year in the mid-atlantic and Cali from violent crimes than died on 9/11. But NY with their endless self promotion won't let you forget.

If the same incident happened to the Sears tower you wouldn't be hearing about it as much.

I feel we only have to fight a war if we are in bondage, if we have an immediate real threat or if our friends are in serious bondage (and even in many cases we don't help!).  So to answer your question Bay, no I don't think invading the country of Afghanistan was necessary.  Possibly some targeted missile strikes but no need to invade the country which cost billions of dollars thousands of American lives and the lives of innocent civilians.  Afghanistan is not like the US and many countries, it does not have a strong sense of nationalism, as we know it is a very tribal land.  So the idea of invading a country that is so diverse and divided made little sense.  Not to mention how bad previous wars in this country ended, the terrain is just a wasteland, ask Russia.   I don't want to write an essay here, but yeah I do disagree with that.  Even family guy joked about how none of the hijackers were from there how it did not make much sense to invade that country.

And like El Diablo said people die in greater numbers and in different violent ways and we don't harp on it for year of even make a big deal about it as it's happening.  Look at the inner city violence in Chicago or DC!  Also look at Syria, will there ever be elaborate memorials for those people dying right now?  Sadly 9/11 is continuously brought up to get support for whatever said company or politician is peddling.

Hey, Not all Americans hate arabs or muslims - remember your talking about the good friends and business partners of your former president George Bush.  Bush was the premier American contact and agent for the Saudi family, the Bin Ladens. In fact, this relationship was so tight that whenever George Bush traveled all those many years to the Middle East, he passed over the many fine hotels in Saudi Arabia...always preferring to stay in the bin Laden family palace.

F*uck this 9/11 memorial rhetorical bull crock going on for the past 11 years over 3000 dead Americans. American soldiers are killing '3000' Iraqi kids, men, and women each and every month, and millions have been sacrificed like lamb since the invasion -- predicated on finding weapons of mass destruction.

Fun time on a Saturday night:

1) Find a older type water filled fire extinguisher.

2) Unscrew the top and pour in 2 gallons of gasoline.

3) Drop in 20-25 styrofoam coffee cups.

4) Replace the top and pressurize the extinguisher as normal (at any gas station or even using a bicycle pump).

5) Swirl the extinguisher around for a few minutes.

6) Hold a lighter in front of the stream and spray towards your enemy.

Napalm.

Yaaaaaa ... let's all make a circle around this 9/11 memorial sham and give high fives to each other -- and show the Muslims who's the boss.  ::)F*uck this 9/11 memorial rhetorical bull crock going on for the past 11 years over 3000 dead Americans. American soldiers are killing '3000' Iraqi kids, men, and women each and every month, and millions have been sacrificed like lamb since the invasion -- predicated on finding weapons of mass destruction.

For those that still believe in the official 9/11 story get your heads out of your asses.

Your real enemy is within!

It's because it's NY.  Their self love and self promotion is endless.  Greatest city in the world my ass.  Place is full with filthy people.  The stench is fucking autrocious.  It's amazing how NY'ers will argue to death about how great a city it is, but once they move out of that cesspool they all of a sudden realize what a shithole it really was.

I have to lol at the picture of the guy whipering to Bush "We're Under Attack"  Bullshit. First it all it is not WE, and what ATTACK?  US airplanes flying to a building doesn't mean attack.  Attack would be a missle or weaponary.  Just as people believe flew into the buildings and Pentagon.  Bush is too dumb to be involved in this.  As President he HAD to beleive it was truly a terrorist attack.  The guys like Rumsfeld and Pearl would be the ones behind it working with the Israelis.
