It's bollox.

They do a little, little something for recovery, but I doubt they're worth the extra cost, and I certainly wouldn't buy them as a standalone product.

You don`t need any of that hokum aside from the sleep.

There is some evidence that they speed up the recovery, but you can't compare that with a cycle.

There's only 1 supplement you'll ever need:

Don't listen to this moron, Darren, ::)
The multi is good...add fish oil, garlic, and some vitamin D. There's more you can take to aid in being healthy, but I'll leave it at that.
90% of bodybuilding supplements are garbage and a waste of money.

Based on my own experiences, If you are dieting or in calorie deficit mode for some time, or you are in low carb ( less than 50-60 g per day ) or you are doing intermittent fasting ( or you are not eating meals for a long stretch of time ), BCAA can preserve your muscle.
Otherwise, you don't need them.

LMAO "your own personal experience." Tell me stud, how did you isolate BCAAs as the agent of this "muscle preservation"? Please enlighten.

What I did was I have same diet, same calorie, same kind of workout and get my BF % taken. You can argue the method is not accurate. But based on those occasions, I got more muscle preserve if I took BCAA night before.
Of course, you can argue that if I took EAA or simply Whey, that will be the same. It will be the same argument like if Yates did the workouts like Ronnie, he would still win Mr. O and vice versa.
However When I took Whey, normally I get sleepy. So I took Whey post workout and not other times.
You can choose what to believe but I am just passing along what I found out. That might be bro-science but at least that is what works for me. Hence, " based on my own personal experiences"

I know there are a lot of hype with BCAA and it dose not live up to the hype. However, I don't think it is complete garbage though.
Only problem with so-called protein bars is they have way too much sugar and carbs. If you look at carbs gram and protein grams, crabs grams are normally higher.... So technically, they should be called carb bars or sugar bars.

Good to take for recovery. But yes, IMO a little overhyped.

There's truth to this post. They're the only aminos that are actually metabolized INSIDE the muscle. They posess an anti-catabolic property that is unique to only branched chain aminos, but nothing extremely magical.
A fair reference point would be that they are supposed to work slightly better than your average batch of kigtropins :D
